    Hello ztan,

I agree it's far too cold for camping. Well done on the interview too. I really hope you hear something positive soon.

I think you've mentioned other things but I'm a bit distracted by the creme egg cupcakes! I'm still off chocolate until Sunday (YAY!) and sadly, any mention of chocolate still gets me sitting up like a meerkat!!!!

Then you get to walk off what you eat when you're away! Perfect!

    EEEEEK!
I've had a phone call, and a voicemail asking me to contact the lady who interviewed me about my interview, and if I can't contact her until after work today that's fine.

Hmmm, not sure how to take that. There was no "yes" or "no". :o

I'm going to phone after work, because if I have been offered the job I will have a mental breakdown here today. If I phone tonight when I'm home and find out I have been offered the job, I've got 5 days off work to have a panic attack about it all before handing my notice in on Tuesday. :rotfl:

Argh! It's killing me though... I've got it all sorted in my head. I know what wage I want from this new job to make it worth my while switching jobs, I have figured out how I can fit the hours into my life and I kind of like the idea of going for a run in the morning, then showering and heading off to work all sparkly clean etc.
I've also got my head around the "new job fear"...

I'm going to email the lady to let her know I've had her message and will phone later unless she can talk via email.

IFA is coming up tonight. So that'll be "fun"... but I'll be glad to finally be getting stuff sorted.

    Happy Easter Folks!

Been a sort of busy bee and a sort of lazy moo.

I didn't get the job :( But it was a little over optimistic to expect that I'd get the first job I'd interviewed for in 2 1/2 years!

It's all good, I was a little disappointed, but I'm okay.

Been busy sorting the spare room and our bedroom out, did scouting and purchased new curtains and bedding for our room. Used the money we didn't spend on camping.

We did go and walk up Glastonbury Tor on Thursday after a complete debacle with the car.

(short version- OH was sorting car out, gets home with car and I notice the tyre we asked to have replaced had not been. They had infact put 2 new FRONT tyres on the car, and DOH had not noticed, and had PAID for them!!!!) Luckily he went back and they sorted it straight away but needless to say I could have killed DOH.

Visit from IFA was good. Working on a commission basis so we don't have to fork out which is good. Waiting on quotes for Life Insurance and Critical Illness cover... love thinking about dying... :rotfl:Had that awesome moment when the IFA asks about how we manage our money, and was plesantly surprised to see how savvy we are for people so young. *high five*

Just had a little tidy up and moved the annoying little pennies out of the accounts, paid a chunk off the CC and am going to chill now.

Have been really busy playing with the html code on my website as well, well chuffed with what I've learned to do! :T I will be a succesful something or the other in future!

Hope you're all enjoying yourselves and are not scoffing tooo much choc!:EasterBun

    Evening folks. Been absent, apologies!

Right- quick update. I got home tonight to find my car insurance renewal waiting for me. It was about £400 last year, and this year they were trying to charge me £514.90

So, I did the ONLY thing people do in that situation, shopped around a bit and found a quote for £268... with the sister company of my current insurer. So naturally I phoned and said "Oi..." and they matched the price and I saved myself just over £240!

    What else has happened?
Well this is bigger than the car insurance- me and my OH have decided to bring forward our trip to Australia and we're going this Christmas! :D
We had one of those moments were we decided we could spend the rest of forever waiting and saving and never actually feel like we're achieving a lot. So we decided to just go!

We've booked our flights, and are busy planning away. The family are super excited to have us for Christmas. We are spending New Years Eve in Sydney which is going to be EPIC, travelling to Cairns to see the Reef and go white water rafting before heading back to Melbourne to stay with the family.

4 weeks in total, most expensive thing we'll ever do apart from buy the house and have kids, but the best thing we will ever do!

So there we have it. We're still going to be on track with the house savings to move in 2016- although we're juggling a lot of money around to afford Oz by the end of this year. Basically I finally have something to focus on and be excited about!

Hope everyone is enjoying "April" whatever the hell it's playing at!

    Ciao for now!
