Ztan - i think £90 for a 2 seater sofa bed needing TLC sounds a bit pricey TBH.

I'm scared of IKEA... if we have to go, it'll eat our money!!! :rotfl:

That's a good website LP, I'm going to have a browse today. Although I point blank refuse to have a leather sofa bed. I hate leather furniture... it just doesn't scream "comfy and warm- sit on me" well not to me anyway! (We have leather sofas in our lounge, donated to us by OH's parents when they got a new suite and I just can't warm to it... *no pun intended*)

    I'm thinking more like this
    http://direct.asda.com/Phoenix-Sofabed---Aubergine/001770175,default,pd.html

But the one we saw was very similar to that, it just needed a good wash, and maybe a few of the covers replacing- which my Mum could easily do for us... overall I think it would have been cheaper.. but we're going to have to save for a new one.

I am on my own again today- my work colleagues have no dedication. So I intend to do minimal work and leave early, as I was here 55 mins before the start of my shift yesterday and 40 mins early today... plus I want to get home so I can ring Tesco Personal Finance and ask what happened to my CC application last night. I clicked through everything, and then it just went to a page that said we'll check your credit- then I clicked okay... then it had a screen saying click close.

    So I'm guessing I didn't get accepted?!?!

  • I've just read your whole thread. I'm glad you are settled in now, well done.

Ignore the people on other threads. I do what's important for my family and not to please other people, I'm sure you do the same.

Wow, thanks Caroline! That's a lot of reading!

Other people are normally always the problem I've noticed ;)

:rotfl:LP... the little pixies are definitely a good argument for having leather!

The plus side of ours, is that I tend to avoid sitting on it because it's so cold!

(Actually, must hang head in embarrassment- we do have red leather dining chairs- but they are really comfy and perfect for jewellery making marathons!)

My Mum has offered to take me to Hobbycraft for my birthday and let me spend her money on wire, beads and alike! (Decidedly easier than explaining that I need copper, gold and silver plated 14-24 gauge dead soft wire- my Dad pointed out I'd be more likely to end up with a few extension leads with what my Mum knows!) Exciting! :j

My OH's just told me he needs to work more overtime, as it's patriarchal time in January and he needs to impress.

I have no idea what he's on about?!?! Anyone?

I have since been informed by my DOH that this was infact meant to say "pay rise time".... he has no idea how his predictive text came up with patriarchal...

I'm leaving work early today. I am on my own, have no work and am on my last 3 days... add to that I've been nearly an hour early these last two days... I'm going to leave at 4, walk home (good 20-30 min walk so that's my warm up for my jog) then go for a jog.. then shower and get ready for girly curry night.

Will be trying not to drink tooo much vino this evening, for fear of ruining my hard work :undecided
