True. Pretty much every auction has an online presence now, because of that they are selling smaller lots and getting bigger prices.Auctions were great years ago now you are paying Wellers that are charging 25% commision plus internet charge for bidding 3-4% then 20% vat , TLH 22% commision plus the rest. Th cream has gone for dealers so we look elsewhere , its okay for individuals. Thats my tuppence worth.
There's still the odd one or two sale worth attending but the auction market has radically changed in the last ten years and it won't be going back again any time soon..0 -
For some reason Manchester isn't on the list for Police auctions...
I cant find it anywhere.
The police there are too busy... heheWarning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -

Those programmes on telly make people think there are fortunes to be earned from abandoned luggage and shop returns, in the main it's all worthless junk.
I subscribed to an auction that sells Costco returns, some of the worn out and broken stuff they were selling went for more money that you could buy new ones for."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
