Why would it getting light an hour later in the morning fill you with dread?????
You're most likely asleep at that time of the morning in the summer months and even in the winter months just think of all the extra things you can do in the extra hour in the afternoon0 -

Not sure about that. At the moment in most of the winter months I can't do anything when I get back from work in the afternoon. The vast majority of the population work normal working hours and can't do anything either. With this proposal I can go play in the park with my son, walk the dog, do things in the garden etc etc etc. In the morning most people are going to work and school. Yes it will be darker but even if it was light you will still be going to work or school. Dark or light most people are on their way somewhere in the morning (I am ignoring safety arguments etc which are not valid anyway as most accidents happen in the afternoon)
It makes a MASSIVE difference and thats why the survey on here shows the vast majority of people support the idea. The vote in parliament on Friday was 92-10 which is pretty overwhelming and most newspaper surveys show the same results.
There are always a minority of people who don't like change but then that at least gives them something to moan about0 -

If you are implying that I do not like change or that I am moaning then you are incorrect. On the contrary, generally, I find change exciting.
With regard to this decision, however, I was voicing my opinion alone and a fact, to me, based on my experience. Just as you have stated yours. I may not agree with you, and think everyone else who thinks this particular change is good to be totally nuts, but you have your opinion and that's yours and that's fine by me.
One thing is for sure the next few years are going to be a lot of funBut for now I am :silenced: on the whole subject! :rotfl:
