I sincerely wish it would be left alone... I suffer with mild SAD and have had fresh air and light therpy recommended. Day light bulbs are great but an extra hour in the evening of light would be of great benefit for the fresh air issue. In terms of Rospa they highlight other benefits, have a read if you haven't already... As for farmers have they really been asked for their thoughts, my friend and her dad both work fulltime and keep 40 beef cattle and a number of horses which I help out with most days ( I too work FT) so again an extra hour at night would be excellent.0

Let's go back to GMT and stay there. Would much rather have an hour more light in the morning than the evening.
Really?? So what you want is to have an extra hour of daylight from 3 till 4 am in the summer and you want it to get dark at 8.30 pm.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to vote.0 -
Leave the clocks permanently at GMT, that IS what the time is!:eek:0

Some people shouldn't be allowed to vote.
And you are incapable of adapting to the lighting conditions?:eek:0 -

You are missing the point completely. The issue is not what time it is. The issue is when we have our daylight hours.
In reply to No.128, no adapting takes place if GMT remains all year round. You really need to get a grip.0 -

Then the issue is what time you get up and what time you start work/school/other ...
The hours of daylight are perfectly predictable and have been for thousands of years.0
