  • Morning!

    A bit later today :D

Another NSD yesterday! (Hubby put petrol in the car though, but it didn't come out of my pocket or the bank, and technically I didn't spend anything!)

PAD of £1.17 to CC2, leaving £62.51 which WILL be gone by 30th! Washing done and out, 3 items listed on eBay, going into town this afternoon to post some stuff and get a new baby present- not budgeted for though!

Off to put Toddles down for a nap so I don't have to watch Toy Story for the billionth time today! :)

    Happy Monday!xx
    I'll get there!
  • Even later today!

£2 pad to CC2, NSD number 3 for the month :j

Phoned my Gas/Electricity supplier and even the woman I spoke to agreed that we are paying way more than we should and another supplier would be cheaper!!

Apparently, we've got an Economy 7 meter, meaning we have to rates - night-time being cheaper (not much use when you can't really have washing machine and dryer on when Toddles is in bed) We can have it changed for free, but it's a rented flat so I'd have to speak to landlord and we'll not be here much longer anyway.

So this evening's task is to visit Quidco and change suppliers.

Also cancelled my phone contract thing and yesterday went round the shops to have a look at handsets. One place offered £30 cashback for ANY handset when I took a new contract out, just need to figure out if this is more than I'd get using Quidco (addicted much?)

Paypal pennies should be in the bank tomorrow, so they are going straight to CC2, which is standing at around £60.51 after todays payment! I have had this credit card since my first year at uni in 2002, it'll feel good to pay it off AND cancel it!:rotfl:

Then it'll be the big CC I'll be targeting! Bring it on!! :D
    I'll get there!

You will get more than £30 cashback with Quidco I would think. I got £100 ish for Mr Fresians last contract
  • Hello Fresian :D How was your weekend?

Yeah, I had a look at contacts online, through Quidco, but none of them mentioned data allowance in them so I was a bit wary of buying without actually being able to ask anyone!

I have switch energy suppliers though! Yippee! Npower worked out cheapest, paying £10 less on electricity and £20 less on gas a month, result! Does Quidco usually update over night? Anyway, cashback or no cashback we'll still be better off! Next to tackle the landline/broadband!x
    I'll get there!
  • Another PAD to report, £23.06 thanks to eBay funds - so glad I got off my backside and sold some stuff!

    Leaves £37.45 on CC2. HAPPY DAYS:j

Having had a spend-y day :( but it's all stuff that was needed. Milk, butter, coffee, shower gel and mayonnaise (and a new maternity bra:o) Total: £24.76

I did buy Toddles some big boy cutlery (included in qbove total)and took him for his lunch, which was under £10 for the two of us :D I took him to celebrate my 2nd anniversary of being smoke free, which coinsided (sp?) with me finding out I was pregnant with him, so it was a special day for us both.

I really wanted to take him out for the day, Safari Park or Zoo or something extravagant, but we just went to the park - which he probably enjoyed more than an expensive day out. We're back in time for his nap and I'm going to get some housework done, busy bee!

Overall, been a pretty good morning/afternoon.

Hope everyone is having nice weather today, it's beautiful here!

    Happy Wednesday!x

    Hey missus,

    Where are you hiding?

    Xxx
  • I'm here! :D

Just knackered, it's hard work growing a baby, keeping toddles in check and debt busting! My usual afternoon or evening internet slot is being filled with naps at the moment!

Feeling loads better today though! Baby must have been having a growth spurth and draining the energy from me :D

I'll do a big update on Monday/Tuesday, MrP has tonight and tomorrow off, so I suppose I'll have to keep him company!

Oh and CC2 is down to £4.45! I am soooo pleased! It was sitting at £1267 in July (the redundancy knocked £1k off that and £1k off CC1, my mini-lightbulb!)

Tomorrow it will be gone! How was your weekend in the District? Beautiful I'll bet, I love it there!

    Happy Sunday!x

  • :jI CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ACTUALLY PAID OFF CC2:j

This mornings PAD of £4.50 means that CC2 is now paid off and once I find the phone number I will be taking great pleasure in telling Barclay Card that they will no longer be getting any of my hard earned cash (well, MrP's hard earned cash!)

I hadn't used the card in years, I've been making half-hearted attempts to pay it off since 2006/7 and i'm so pleased that I've put a little effort into paying it off. I might have only pad-ed £170 ish to it, but if I hadn't had my miniblub when I had my redundancy, it would still be at least £1k in the red.

It also means that I've 'freed up' some extra money to throw at other debt. Not sure which one I'm going to tackle next, i was going to do CC1, but I think the interest on O/D2 may be higher. I'll have to get the exact details and snowball. Might do a revised SOA also.

To celebrate, I've put £1 coin into a piggy bank, with the key frozen in the freezer. I think I'll add to it whenever I get to an important milestone in my Moneysaving journey, I may be here a while.

This has really spurred me on! I'm just slightly concerned that once the smaller debts are gone and I'm faced with the biggies that I'll lose my motavation and ruin it. I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I am honestly so pleased with myself! And I have a midwife appointment this morning so hearing BabyPenny's heartbeat again will be the icing on the cake :D

I think I might actually be able to do this! Thanks for the support I've had so far, it means a lot.

    Very Happy Monday!xx
    I'll get there!
  • Congratulations

Ref larger debts just set yourself smaller targets ie under the next 1000 in x weeks or £x in x days.

Im sure you are going to do great but remember blips do happen its just how we learn to handel them and get back on the wagon so to speak.
