I gave up on NSDs once I realised that not getting enough of them was getting right on my t*ts
I try to keep to low spends, and to be as frugal as I can be, and that works for me. Otherwise if you run out of chocolate biscuits/milk/other essentials you feel bad for breaking a NSD :rotfl:
They are good to aim for when you're starting on DFW though, well done :T0 -
Is it common that the motivation money saving generates spreads to other areas in life?
Today, instead of watching CSI while Toddles napped, I got all my washing done and out on the line. When he woke, I fed him and let him watch a DVD. Normally, I'd mooch around, half doing some dishes (never ever wash, dry, put away) Today was different!
I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen - including the floors, hoovered the hall, put dry washing away, organised the ironing, sorted dinner, cleaned the huge sofas AND made pancakes!
By then the DVD had finished and Toddles wanted entertained, we went outside on a bug hunt. We found a few ladybirds and some mini beasts, he got bored before I did!
Then spent the rest of the day bringing in the washing, Toddles dusted a bit - the same spot over and over again, but he was in his glory!
I even found time to PAD! £1 off CC1 :j Dinner dishes have been washed, dried and put away and toys tidied. House looks awesome, and it didn't even take that long!
Happy '2 sleeps until pay-day' xI'll get there!0 -
Did you post your PAD in the PAD thread? We're trying to hit half a million pounds in PADs by the end of the year0

I haven't, i didn't 'officially' sign up, I'll have a search for the thread and add it
Just a thought, how can I have NSD if I'm PAD-ding?? I might have to make my NSD into: NotSpendingAnyMoneyInMyPurseButOnlineDebtPaymentsAllowedDay(NSAMIMPBODPAD - Crikey. Might be on babyPenny's name shortlist!)
I'll get there!0 -

I have never included PAD if I'm aiming for a NSD - it doesn't count as spending if you're paying off debt really, does it? It's different if you're spending £2 a day on coffee instead of repaying debt :money:0 -

Going for lunch today with some Mummy friends, but it's cheap family place, so I'm not spending anymore than £7 (which I saved by doing my own eyebrows last week, not as horrendous as I thought it would be!)
