However, the estimated delivery date is 15th-17th October. I usually do my weekly shop on Tuesdays, so I'm wondering if somebody would be kind enough to PM me the doner kebab recipe please. I've already added lamb mince to my shopping list, but I don't know what else to buy :)

    Thank you

I bought a mini loaf tin today from Lidl for with the intention of using it to make cakes.

My husband has suggested is could be used to make the Lamb Doner Kebab in if the whole recipe was too much for some.

I'm not sure if it would work or not due to the fat that comes from the meat.

The kebab loaf does expand so I would think the mixture would be enough to make two loaf shapes using the tray.

I may give it a go next week and post some pics.

The trays are £3.99 and I think the offer is only on for a few days so don't hang about it you are thinking of giving this a go.

They have a 3 year guarantee so should be of reasonable quality.

    ;)

It's the top right in the pic.

My daughter made the chocolate cheesecake tonight (digestive biscuits/butter/choc&hazelnut spread/soft cheese) and whilst it was a little on the sweet side for me it was nice.
  • I made the 'Special Sauce' last night!!!!

With the HM Bread and Burger... it was AMAZING!!!

I didn't even make the burger from the book.... and I have loads of sauce leftover in a Jam Jar for another day :D

that's a great idea :) look forward to seeing some pics of mini ones :D

if you're worried about them sitting in fat in the tins, maybe you could use the Lidl tray to mould the raw mixture, turn them out & bake them on your usual flat oven tray?

That's a good idea, I think I will try both ways, use it to mould one and cook it on a seperate tray and leave one in the bread tray.

I will post some pics next week as I already have 2 more normal sized ones in the freezer from when I cooked 3 at once last week. ;)

Don't want to have one every week or we may get sick of them.

    :)

How much brown sugar have you all used when making the sausage patties with a full packet of mince?

I made the sausage and egg muffins yesterday morning... everyone really liked them (well they said they did!)... I found the sausage far too sweet and it actually made me feel sick for ages after. :(

The recipe says 1/4 of a teaspoon of sugar for 56g of mince.

I used 450g of pork mince to make them so I used 2 teaspoons of sugar, which I would have thought would be about right.

Has anyone made them and NOT added any sugar?

Yes me :D I also didn't add sage because I bought parsley by mistake, oops. (I didn't add the parsley btw :o)

My OH and son said they were really nice, OH said they were a bit too meaty but I did use more meat per muffin than the recipe said.

I'm having trouble finding muffins now though. Unless I go to the supermarket I'm pretty much stuck. I found muffins in the co-op but they had sugar in the ingredients so I didn't buy them :o
