Hi guys, got a big favour to ask...
Can anyone please tell me what ingredients I need for the sausage and egg mc muffins?
I'm supposed to be making them tomorrow and calling at Mr T's on the way home but forgot to write what I needed.
Cheers0 -

I'm disappointed tonight
Made the spag bol and it was soooooooooooooooooo bland. I added onions and garlic as the recipe didn't include these but it was still a bit 'nothingy'.Officially BR at 2.10pm on 6th May 2009, ED 7th December 2009

I must admit I didn't like the look of that one & I'd have added onion & garlic too
but I've never had a pasta takeaway, maybe that's what they're actually like?
or maybe a misprint?0 -

That was the 3rd thing from the book that I cooked and I didn't add onions or garlic and we thought it was quite tasty considering what was in it.
Everyones tastes are different though.
My husband has just said he can see where you are coming from.
He says it tastes like you would get in an Italian restaurant which is nothing like you get in a jar.
As he says, how many people go out these days and pay £'s for a spag bol in a restaurant?0 -
Has anyone tried making the Tortillas from the book yet?
I just tried another recipe that I found online and they were like poppadoms!
I binned them as they were really salty.
Tomorrow I am making the lamb doner again (making 2 batches this time, one to eat tomorrow and one to freeze).
I may give the tortillas a go from the book but want to know how others have got on with them first.0 -
I've not made anything from the book yet
it's the doner I really fancy most & what I bought the book for, I've got some minced lamb I froze that needs eating up, so I might do it tomorrow
I've tried making flour tortillas before without success, they came out dry & hard
Titli shows how to make themso although I prefer corn ones & have Masa Harina in to make them, I may just give the flour ones another go, maybe try both recipes for comparison if I've got time, & report back

It was Titlis recipe that I used, they are the ones that went in the bin!0 -
I made this yesterday, the rice was a tad overcooked but otherwise very tasty. I don't like spicy food and I ate it and enjoyed it but I will try another curry recipe next time for my hubby and DS1 as they like spicier food than me.
Hubby said Tikka from an Indian is red in colour but I did leave out the food colouring as I didn't want to add it.
I now also have 9 x 250ml of the basic curry sauce in the freezer so that will make things easier for my next curry...
Basic Curry Sauce:
Chicken Tikka Pieces:
Chicken Tikka Masala & Pilau RiceAgeing is a privilege not everyone gets.
