Just checked there website and no value stuff on there. I will just pick up the regular stuff and give it a try. How much lamb is used? My book it at home at the mo! Need to write a quick list before I go shopping.

EDIT: The doner recipe shows up on Amazons website so will get my list written! lol

Sometimes our local Tesco Extra doesn't show available items online but they have them instore, but they do have them when you get there.

Don't forget to pick up some Pork Mince whilst you are there, those American Style Sausage muffins are great.

    ;)

When I asked the SA in Tesco where they kept the blocks of creamed coconut that I'd saw online she said they didn't stock it in that store, same with the value lamb. She also told me that if I shopped online my shopping was actually picked in another store that is about 15 miles away (my local one is less than 2 miles away) so it's worth checking. I hope not all Tescos do the same thing because IMO it's a shocking waste of petrol/diesel.

Had Donner kebab last night. Doubled the quantity, Every one loved it, none left. Didn't think much of the red sauce but we don't have either sauces in our kebab shops in this area, only chilli sauce. Need to work out how to make the cabbage salad that we get though - everyones favourite.

Am doing sausage an egg McMuffins tomorrow for brunch.

    Which rings does everyone use?

Looking on ebay they have stainless steel ones or silicone ones...?

I was thinking silicone might be better for use in a non-stick pan, but then the stainless steel ones would also be useful for cutting out the "sausage pattys" for the muffins.

    What does anyone think?

My local Tesco is less than a mile away but online shopping is picked in the larger store about 15 miles away? There's loads of things that I can get online that aren't stocked in my local store, mainly value or more "exotic" ingredients as they don't seem to stock many of those instore. :(

It's the same with Asda too, my local store is less than a mile away but online deliveries come from the larger Metrocentre store, again about 15 miles away.

I use silicon ones that I bought from Home Bargains, I think they were 99p for two.

They are very similar to this one below.

They had different shapes, round, hearts and flowers for anyone looking for them for the novelty factor. ;)
  • Yeah have seen the silly shaped ones fairly cheap but dont think a heart shaped egg will look right on a Maccy D's! :p
