Chocolate cheesecake mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - already knew it was very rich so we only had half portions with some fresh strawberries ( I will get my kids to eat more fruit and veg, I will, I will;))
Didn't make chicken noodle soup - majority vote was for sweet and sour chicken balls. Except we had turkey balls , just don't tell the kids they don't like turkey:rotfl:
It was another success - I added peppers, onoin and sweetcorn to the sauce (I will get more veg in them, I will, I will) but ds doesn't like sweet and sour so had the white kebab sauce leftover from last night ( I only made 1 portion but for us it was quite alot) and he said it tasted even better than last night, so I had a dip (would have been rude not to, right?) and he was right the garlic seemed to have more depth but not as harsh a flavour - hope that makes sense.
Don't think I've thanked the OP but truly heartfelt, sincere thanks are being sent right now - we thought takeaway food was off the menu forever but now with a few little tweaks here and there alot of the recipes in this book are going to fine, while they may not taste exactly the same, the stuff out of jars tastes nothing the same - i know that makes it sound like all we ate was takeaways, honestly, it was once a fortnight at the most finances wouldn't allow any more:p but once we couldn't have them ...
take care

Made the kebab again with red sauce. Does anyone know how I could pad this out? i.e. could I mix pork or beef mince in with the lamb mince to stretch it out a bit?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

I pad mine out in the pitta with loads of fresh salad, i wouldn't want to mess with the recipe too much, personally. and slice it as thinly as i can.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0 -
I think I've about mastered the Tikka Masala now, getting that spot on is difficult as every takeaway has its own version but I like mine quite sweet and creamy. An extra tablespoon of yogurt seems to do the trick and the last one I made was gorgeous! Just put a bowl in to marinade for tomorrow0

Hi,
Hoping someone can help me out pleaseMy brother has my copy of takeaway secret atm but I was going to make some Big Macs tonight. Could someone please post the recipe for the burger patty only? I don't need anything else because if I mess the sauce up (again, wrong gherkins lol) they'll just have to live with ketchup.
I knew I should of stuck to something I know by heart like the meatball subs instead of promising something I've already failed at, silly meEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0
