That curry looks nice, which one is that?
My mouth is watering now.0 -
I got this book over christmas and it is great. I use my kindle in the kitchen, but I put in in a large plastic bag, so it stays clean.
If you like the US style food, this is a good book as well, it is different from the UK book. You can click on the look inside as well to see some of the recipes. I love the chicken wings/buffalo wings and the crab cakes

Baking soda is bi-carb, baking powder is a mixture of bi-carb and cream of tartar (often with anti caking agents) in a ratio of 1:2
If you used baking soda and bi-carb then you've two thirds of a teaspoon more bi-carb than the recipe called for, which might explain the explosion. (And no cream of tartar, which, if memory serves, affects the size and structure of the bubbles)
Hope this helps
Thank you for this just had another bash at making them and ....
They are lovely and tasty I'm going to take a couple into work tomorrow to treat the boys on my team :T0 -
Looks like a great book, was going to buy it for my kindle but thought I'd have a look on the "look inside" and it seems to have the entire book on it. If you don't want to spend the money, have a look on there and make a note of the recipes you like the sound of!
Edit: They've gone now0 -
Just ordered this
hoping to curb the takeaway cravings with it! xx

Hehe, well if you do make them they do only need 7 minutes. When you pull them out they dont look cooked and do look 'gloopy' but they harden. I made the mistake of putting one batch in and they were tooth breakers when they came back out0
