i ordered the book after lurking on here and seeing all the comments about it; i have just made the basic curry sauce and it smells soooooo nice!

My biggest problem now is deciding which curry to have tonight :-)

  • I made the basic chicken curry and my dad loves it, he is a massive fan of curries and we live in Bradford which could be curry capital so it must have been nice, needless to say I know I will be batch making the curry stock in bulk lol :)
  • queen of cheap Ive tried the Chicken Tikka Chasni it was really nice but using both pur!e and ketchup was a bit too much tomato for my taste, I will do it again but cut down on these a bit. Have also done the Traditional Chicken Curry - much more to my liking.

I've made the Korma and it was delicious, exactly like our local takeaway. I'm making the Tikka for dinner :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
I got this book over christmas and it is great. I use my kindle in the kitchen, but I put in in a large plastic bag, so it stays clean.

If you like the US style food, this is a good book as well, it is different from the UK book. You can click on the look inside as well to see some of the recipes. I love the chicken wings/buffalo wings and the crab cakes

  • Just ordered this as I can't afford take-aways anymore and hoping it saves money.

How hard are the recipes to cook? are there more simple ones to get started? thanks.
  • Fusion Fury, I find the recipes easy to follow. I tried a couple of the indian and chinese meals - you need to be a bit organised for making the basic curry sauce in advance to use as stock and to marinade your meats.

You also need a well stocked spice cupboard but nothing out of the ordinary, the only thing I had difficulty finding in the area that I live was fenugreek (methi) leaves. But I bought some from a well known internet site and they arrived 2 days after ordering.

Like many other I also tried the doner.....delish.

    Enjoy
