After reading (the first half of) this thread I was inspired to have a go at Egg and Sausage Muffins as my husband is a big fan, they turned out edible but probably lacking in seasoning (I just did tiny quantity as I didn't have the recipe) and I'm wondering if the seasoning goes in with the mince before you make them into patties or whether it's added whilst cooking - as I've seen recipes online for McDs-style burgers where the seasoning is liberally added to the cooking patties.
Also, are there any recipes in the book for Burger King style Whoopers? They are my favourites!
All the burger (& kebab) recipes are in the preview of the book placed on Scribd by the publishers.

The American sausage in the sausage & egg muffin recipe consists of:
2 oz minced pork
1/2 tsp sage
1/4 tsp brown sugar (doesn't specify which type)
salt & pepper
Everything is mixed together, formed into a patty & is chilled for a couple of hours (or overnight if easier) to allow the flavours to develop before it is cooked.
BANANA MUFFINS
Makes 12-14 Muffins
These muffins freeze extremely well, making them ideal to defrost each night and take to work the following day.
180 g/6 oz plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 ripe bananas
150 g/5 oz white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
75 ml/2 1/2 fl oz vegetable oil
In a large bowl, combine the plain flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, mash the bananas and add the sugar, egg, vanilla extract and oil. Mix well.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly until well combined.
Preheat the oven to 190°C/3750F/Gas Mark 5.
Lightly oil two muffin trays. Pour a large tablespoon of the mixture into each muffin space.
Bake for 18-20 minutes. Check that the muffins are completely cooked by piercing the centre of a mufin with a fork. The muffins are ready when the fork comes out clean.
Remove the muffins f?om the oven and leave to rest for 5 minutes
before removing from the trays and arranging on a wire rack to cool
completely.
The muffins will freeze well for up to 1 month.0 -
I wonder if the publishers know that all of those recipes are on that site.
You may find that your post may be removed due to publishing rights, Moneysaving Expert may get into trouble if they publish any of the recipes.
Don't be surprised if they get removed.0 -

I would be very surprised if they didn't as it is Constable & Robinson (the publishers) themselves who uploaded the preview of the book to their own scribd account as they do with many of their other books. They use it as an advertising technique, you are supposed to be tempted enough to buy the book to view the rest of it but they do have the sense to limit file permissions so it can't be saved or printed. How long the preview will be available is anyones guess which books they have previews of depends on what they are trying to promote sales of at the time.0 -

BEWARE the link above to scribd. is UNSAFE. It has infected my computer with a virus0

What virus? My AVG anti virus did not complain. How will I know if my computer is infected?0

McAfee SiteAdvisor, Norton Safeweb, Onlinelinkscan & Google Safe Browsing all list scribd as free of any viruses, malware etc... as do numerous other site checkers.
It is a well known publishing site however some antivirus software detects false positives when you visit the site because some of the macros contain code similar to the code used in certain viruses. As people so rarely bother reporting false positives to their antivus software companies these mistakes are rarely identified & fixed.0 -
Mines Norton and it flagged up as a virus trying to attack my computer that they had successfully dealt with.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
