I think if I had a doppler I'd make myself into an even bigger nervous wreck!:o
I'm feeling a bit more relaxed today anyway, and I def like the idea of treating myself Gena
kitkat - we had a good demo yesterday on the bugaboo and the icandy..didn't get the rain hood bit demo'd though, and I've read those can be a bit of a faff.
We've still got time, so I think we may check out some other makes too, although I really want one that faces me, rather than out for when the baby is small, so quite a few were discounted straight away.
I'll have a read about the silver cross 3D too, thanks for the tip!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hi there - sorry to KK and the other overdue ladies, I'd be climbing the walls by now. In my NCT class the teacher was saying that things like acupuncture, reflexology and castor oil can help to make things happen. Sorry if you've already given them a go... I'm making a mental note of them because I'd like to avoid being induced if possible - anyone have any experience of them?0

Considering this is the last child ever ever ever I am starting to wonder if I should get a 3d scan. Money is not as tight this time and we already have pram/carseat but not sure if they are worth it.
We had one with DS and looking to have one this time too, if we can find a decent price, we paid GBP80 ish at the NEC baby last time but prices are much more this time. Do it if you can find a good price.kitkat5566 wrote: »Thanks everyone for your well wisheswell I've been swept, bit depressed as apparently my cervix isn't favourable so the MW didn't think sweep would do much. I've been trying everything and obviously nothing is working! I've got another sweep Wednesday and induction Friday at the hospital I don't want to go to as I'll probably be in ages
I asked her what else to try and she said sex. I'm in so much pain but might attempt it later. so fed up. I've decided I hate pregnancy, it's been carp all the way through
I wanted a natural 'interference free' pregnancy and it doesn't look like I'll get it. Can't believe I won't have my baby until I'm 42 weeks
That's what I wanted but didn't get it either, just resigned myself to it for the this one.0 -
Thanks Sweaty
I would like to try acupuncture/ reflexology but I can't really afford to spend out! Think I'm just going to think positive, the baby will come at some point I just need to be patient. I've not tried caster oil but heard bad things about it, it causes terrible diawoo! I know having a 'clear out' can what you need before labour but I don't fancy it unless it happens naturally... Or from a curry!

Kitkat did she say if you were dialated at all. It can all happen very quickly when it wants to. I've already said my hind waters broke with no notice last time and baby arrived less than 24 hours later, so it could well take off before Friday. After my sweep I felt really tired and crampy so take it easy, I also had quite a lot of bloody discharge but having checked on the Internet it is normal. I'm going to make an appointment for another sweep on Tuesday to see if I go on my own, I'm still losing my plug so fingers crossed - the second sweep seems to have a higher success rate. If nothing happens I've got my first gel at 10pm on Thursday but not feeling too positive, my sister in law spent 3 days getting gels etc before they broke her waters. I think I'll give it 12 hours and then demand to have my waters broke.Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0

MLSL no MW didn't say how dialated I was. I've had cramping since I got home so I'm just resting. With the induction they insert the gel AM and PM and if no success I've got to have a drip. Then they break my waters. I seem to have been loosing my plug for a couple of weeks now. How much is there?!? Lol.
Might go for a walk later when I feel more energised!0 -
Hello all
my hips and back have been soooo painful last week or so and more so over last few days - had back problems before pregnancy and also suffered with spd/pgp early on but around 28wks it eased off which physio said it would either get alot better or alot worse around 28wks. Physio excercises helped a little but the heat therapy she did helped alot and so used hot water bottles at home. Had a hot water bottle all day yesterday which helped when in use but soon as removed it ouchy!! Paracetamol does nothing and there is no point asking GP if can take codiene as they would prescribe me ranitidine for reflux (I just brought it anyway) and baby will be here thursday so can suffer a bit longer.
We have given the kitchen a good clean - really gross but have any of you ever unscrewed the plug hole from the sink - be careful as rim is sharp but its very very grim and nasty!!0 -
aww kitkat hopefully things start soon for you, on the plus side at least the end is "in sight" if you know what i mean. at least you know wen it gets to friday they are going to step in and wont leave you any longer! i dont think my hosp has a certain number of days they let you go over, i think it just depends how busy they are.0

Kitkat please dont go down the castor oil route it can very harmfull as it can not only make you have dia woo woo it can make you sick and leave you very dehydrated which is dangerous.
Mahoosive labour vibes for you i hope things kick off sooner rather than later :-) xx:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
