I have no idea if she will mention, but if it were me, I would at least ask. She might just say no, but then you can ask when she will consider it?

Morning all, wow where did all those babies come from.
Congratulations to Delian and Elaine lovely names.

I suppose I should put myself on the EDD list, but that just means I will see myself getting to the top and that'll be scary although I do want this baby out.

We're off to the in laws for lunch today. Means I don't have to run around after DS too much as his cousin will be there as well so for the most part they will entertain each other.

I've felt a bit rotten this morning so far, managed to stay in bed for an extra hour or so after DS got up (at 5:50am) although DH has been really grumpy since I got up because I had a lie in. He seems to have forgotten I was up with DS every morning last week at 6am because he was ill. grrrr.

I've managed to get onto a maternity clothes trail with Peacocks and had my second item through yesterday a pair of velour trousers, have them on at the moment and they are really comfy, just hope they wash ok and don't shirnk in the leg as they only just fit that way at the moment. Just have to fill in a one page questionnaire and then I get to keep everything they send me. I love free things

GL KK for your sweep. Hope it works for you, keep everything crossed (except your legs). MW should be able to phone up and book you an induction when she comes today so you can at least have a date, they can always cancel it if you pop before then.

Bought all stuff for bubs on Friday on John Lewis Bluewater.......felt very Victoria Beckham, as while she was sorting out the order, she took us through to the restaurant bit (me, DD and my mum and dad) and told the manageress we could have whatever the 4 of us wanted and nursery section would pay, we didn't have to pay a penny :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I do love John Lewis..their customer service is second to none. We're definitely going to be getting most of our stuff through them.

The lady who demo'd the pushchairs to us yesterday was really nice and very helpful. Plus she spent a long time explaining everything and letting us 'test drive' the prams.

Kitkat goodluck with your sweep and dont worry to much about everyone going away i always find myself thinking for god sake just leave me alone will you after giving birth so it may be a blessing in discuise and you can get yourself sorted and into a bit of a routine before all the visitors and well wishers decend. :-) x

Kitkat - hope the sweep works for you. Even if they don't book an induction would it help you to know at what point they will do one? I already know that here its 12 days over so I hope that if I go overdue it will help to have an end in sight:D My parents have loads of things booked in September (my due date is the 9th) including a couple of nights away sometime in mid-September because they expect baby to have arrived already - no not necessarily! I'm a little hard-hearted about it tbh, I feel that if they're away when baby is born it's their problem, they shouldn't automatically expect me to be on time!

Emsy - well done you getting special treatment, that must have been fab!

MV - I'm sure the scan will be fine. You should spend today relaxing and treating yourself.

Oooooo I'm finally alllll excited cos I know my baby will be here within the next 2 weeks... or earlier!!:) I'm feeling fine by it all, I had sleep last night, my wee is okish... still havng pains and a very active bean who hurts me though! AND I HAVE WASHIING OUTSIDE DRYING!!!:j Been getting so behind with it cos of awful downpours!

Nene... if you wait until Mon night/Tues cos I'm in the day assesment unit so then I could come visit you and bubs;):D

MV you will be fine. its totally natural to worry that something is wrong and i think everyone does. Have you considered buying or hiring a doppler?? I have one and its great for reassurance especially when bubs is moving about normally but decides to be a lazy toad.

Kitkat - relax and think of England. The MW should be able to tell you if you are favorable for a sweep because it does not alot unless your cervix is already soft and flatter. Ask about induction Ninewells diary is about 6 days ahead so your MW may very well book induction today.

Emsy - fab treatment.

Can I ask opinions on 3d scans? I always fancied one with DD1 and 2 but money was tight and other things took priority. Considering this is the last child ever ever ever I am starting to wonder if I should get a 3d scan. Money is not as tight this time and we already have pram/carseat but not sure if they are worth it.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes well I've been swept, bit depressed as apparently my cervix isn't favourable so the MW didn't think sweep would do much. I've been trying everything and obviously nothing is working! I've got another sweep Wednesday and induction Friday at the hospital I don't want to go to as I'll probably be in ages I asked her what else to try and she said sex. I'm in so much pain but might attempt it later. so fed up. I've decided I hate pregnancy, it's been carp all the way through

I wanted a natural 'interference free' pregnancy and it doesn't look like I'll get it. Can't believe I won't have my baby until I'm 42 weeks

Emsy I'm v jealous of your John Lewis VIP treatment, they have lovely baby items shame there isn't a local one here.

MV with prams make sure you get everything demonstrated. Some prams are v awkward to fold down/ put rain cover on/ etc so make sure you can do it. I went for Silver cross 3D as I had a small budget but I'm v pleased I'm surprised I can actually fold it down/ convert it unassisted!
