We haven't found out because I love a good surprise too :D

DH was convinced DD2 was a boy, he called her he the whole way through :rotfl:

Our local poundworld sells multi-packs of love hearts for £1... Not sure about poundland though...

Its funny how different people get so convinced of the sex, DH and I are more and more convinced we are having a girl, so I think by the time Feb comes round if its a boy we will be very shocked (happy but shocked!) :D

All this talk of lovehearts is making me want some and I am off work sick today, DH has my car so may ask him to pick some up on the way home. It started off being mentioned as a heartburn reliever right?!?! Or is my baby brain imagining that!! :rotfl:

:j for fab scan Coops - can't wait to see a picture later :)

Princess Coupon can you do yourthoughts for me please

    1) Length of time trying/conception difficulties came off BCP end April 2009, BFP end of September 2009, MMC diagnosed 24th November 2009, started retying 1st January 2010 bfp early July 2010.
    2) Mothers excitement - I am VERY excited about this baby, more and more so every day :D
    3) Mothers preferred sex - I would like a girl
    4) Sex of existing children - no existing children as this is our first.

Even though I would like a girl my instinct is telling me that this bubs is a boy. Most of my friends think it's a boy and OH think it's a boy :) at first I thought I might be disapointed if it turns out to be a boy but now I'm so happy to have got this far that as long as it's healthy when it comes I will be overjoyed either way :D

Thanks tickle will have to get some I think, DD was up last night crying because of the itching and she hates the calamine lotion.

Good luck with scans today Coops and Princess.

Beaktron not an expert but your milk (colostrum?) could be coming in early!

Catwoman I did LOL when I read about your DH and knowing it all men huh!:rotfl:

Anyone else round about the same number of weeks as me (16 tomorrow) have quite a high bump? I carried DD quite high throughout and it almost feels/looks like bubs is filling the space again but don't think it would be up there yet IYSWIM? I am overweight so I seem to have 2 bumps one above my waist and one below-not an attractive sight and I can't rely on my clothes to hold it in anymore :o:(

Hi Teenie, i thought id answer before i read back through then forget. Im 15+1 and have been showing for weeks but its definently high up. Its quite firm just under my boobs but still a bit flabby under my belly button. I was a size 16 before so not very slim.
Good news is ive felt the odd baby movement for weeks now. Its when im curled on the sofa and need a pee, it must all be squished together and I can definently feel movement. No one believes me when I said I felt 'bubbles' at 10 weeks, but I know it wasnt wind lol.

I felt number 2 around 14 weeks and was showing very early then 2. Only with my first was it 19 or so weeks until momvement.

I'm with you on the small bump. My belly is the same. A defined bump that isnt huge but is hard at the top and soft at the bottom. my midwife said it's cos i've had 2 previous children that it may just 'group' there quicker earlier on.

I'm not concerned anyhow. I also feel 'bubbles' although I daren't suggest it is 'movement' to anyone lol. They would think i'm insane at 13wks. Although, I am very windy! :D So it may well could be that too! No bother! I'm happy just getting on with it and enjoying this pregnancy as much as possible.

Based on that info you should get a girl, as I said not knowing you makes it difficult there is number 5 which is more a kind my kind of gut from knowing a person. So unless you can think of any reason baby or none baby related why you shouldn't get your first choice it should be a girl.

I would like to stress that this is just a bit of fun and I know the word "deserve" might sound a bit funny, but it's just my opinion. There is one thing I'm sure of though and that is that everyone deserves a happy healthy baby regardless of sex.

It doesn't sound daft from 12-13 week if I lay on my stomach I could feel a kind of light buzz, no movement though till 16 almost 17 weeks

I'm relieved that on the first you feel movements much later. I'm 19 wks today (woo hoo) and haven't felt anything yet :(.

Bump is definitely there, was really 'out' yesterday and I was worried it would've gone again this morning but it was there and I cannot breathe it in anymore.

PC - I *think* mine is a boy but that is only because OH really wants a girl and a few people say they have the feeling it's a girl. I like to be different.
    What time is your scan?
  • Borrow a couple of quid off someone?

Its weird I don't really know anyone well enough to ask...
I knew my DD was a girl from before conception, and I have a 98% record at predicting friends and relatives babies too (got 1 wrong). I have a weird concept that you "get what you deserve" and i kind of calculate the sex based on:

    1) Length of time trying/conception difficulties 6 months/one m/c
    2) Mothers excitement guarded
    3) Mothers preferred sex boy for variety, girl for MSE ness
    4) Sex of existing children 2 girls

Based on these factors I think I "deserve" a boy but we'll see

What do i deserve??!! Don't say a slap!

I had a response from the ebay person...she said she'll send me photos tonight and she said "Please confirm later today that you have refunded to my paypal account." lol I emailed her back saying I won't refund until she sends my item back at her own cost. I pointed her to the ebay help file. Told her to open a dispute. Argh

Quite right, well done. She's trying to bully you, bl00dy chancer.

  • GFH it's a bit borderline I'd need to know you to have confidence in my answer but it's a 65/35 in favour of a girl

You guys are going to ruin my record! I'm going to get inundated with PM's in 5 months time telling me I got it wrong:rotfl:

    Right I'm off
