I converted mine into an Xbox 360 subscritption for Hubby for christmas lol...
I did subscribe to Prima Baby at the baby show in May though, I really like getting it through the post... And it was only £20, and we got £20 worth of tommee tippee feeding stuff for free...
We're not going to a firework display, I know I wouldn't be able to stand there the whole time, or walk to and from the bus stop... DD1 just asked me if I could send Daddy an email and ask him if he'll pick her up some sparklers bless her...
And in other news, one of the other Mum's at the school has offered to walk DD1 back for me when I struggle too much... I probably could have arranged something with a couple of people, but I've got an arrangement with another Mum where she takes DD1 in for me and I walk her daughter home and I felt obliged to include her daughter, my other friends drive and wouldn't have been able to take the other girl but this Mum walks so it won't be a problem... She also walks right past my house and this other Mum's house so it's not going out of her way... A relief really... I shall keep going for as long as I can but it's nice to know I have a back up..A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

@Dusty - good to hear you got things sorted with OH
Good to see you back.
@Sammy (I think) - I have Gaviscon in my bag, but I reckon I've not had as bad a heartburn as you lot as I've not even tried it yet. I eat lovehearts/refreshers when I get it. And drink milk before bed (I get it worse at night).
@MV - ((hugs)) I had days where I don't think I felt baby all day, but I'm sure it's when I busy running about so you just don't notice it. I only notice when I'm sat down. I rarely feel anything when I'm standing.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

I've read on baby and bump a nice idea if you have a car...pack 2 bags. One for labour and one for after giving birth. Hubby can swap them over once baby is born. I'll do this if I can't get everything in one small bag.
I'm thinking of just using the changing bag for babies bits and clothes and then a really small travel case for my stuff (prob half the size of what you can carry onto a plane).FairyShazza wrote: »
Giz I am fast losing my patience with people on Ebay. I've sold a couple of things recently, first ones I've listed in ages and am pretty sure that one of the buyers was pulling a fast one on me saying the item was damaged when she receieved it yet it was fine when it left me, she refused to send it back because I said I wouldn't pay the return postage (I clearly state no returns on all my auctions) even then after me saying ok I will pay for the return she kicked off at me and said she didn't see why she should have to send it back. In the end I told her I would refund half the price she paid and that was it.
The other item I sold (a nail varnish) got smashed in the post even though I packed in three layers of bubble wrap and a thick padded envelope so I had to refund the payment for that too. It has put me off selling anything else now thoughI have about 2600 feedback and 100% so it has right annoyed me!

Daughter is 33 weeks pregnant and has been feeling really breathless lately and she mentioned to the midwife yesterday that she feels as if her heart is pounding out of her chest. She examined her and said it was beating at a high rate and sent her to the pregnancy assessment unit at the hospital for to be checked out, where she spent most of yesterday. Midwife had measured her at being 35 weeks but the hospital measured her at being 39 weeks. They took her bloods and she had an ECG which was borderline (neither of us were sure what that meant) and a scan. Even after resting for an hour at the hospital reading a magazine her heart beat was still racing. They measured the baby which was 4lb 4oz and told her she is not carrying too much fluid. She had a feeling they would keep her in ,but sent her home and told her to rest. Easy said than done when you are running your own business. When she mentioned to the midwife her last day at work would be 11th December....she told her there would be no way she would still be working then.
When they said she was measuring 39 weeks.... I had visions of her coming home with the baby !!0 -
Oooh my mattress arrived today
I finally decided on one. Used a £10 amazon voucher. Only ordered it yesterday so I'm impressed with delivery. Paid £49.99 in the end.
Even though I have the cotbed already, seeing the mattress - it looks huge! Do you think I'll end up having to get a moses basket for the first few months? Will a newborn not like being in a cotbed?
Oh and my HIP grant has been paidI put it aside to go toward the reusable nappies. I don't have much left to buy now:
nappies (and all the bits that go with it)
reusable wipes
car seat adapter (using £10 off voucher at M&P)
foot muff (again using £10 off in a separate txn plus a £5 gift card)
changing mat (still not found a winnie pooh one I like)
gym ball (can't decide if I need one or not)
maternity pads
Button up night dress/ or PJsBaby Giz born 6/2/110 -

Fingers crossed for Ladylegs hope things start happening soon.
Erm there is more I was going to say but as usual I have forgotten what it was.
Poor DD is absolutely covered in spots now, she was getting so distressed earlier on with the itching but thank goodness for calamine lotion. Think I will give her a bath tomorrow with baking soda in it, seemingly that helps draw them out and eases the itching."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
