    I love the typo...tickling does sound promising.:rotfl::rotfl:
I'd sniff it but it is gone today! It's horribly teasing in this last week - you think every little thing is the start..constant symptom-spotting. It's driving me mad.:p
I had a maternity towel on and it soaked maybe 40% but not sure what with - bouncing on the ball could have made my bladder buckle!

:rotfl: I didn't even notice - tickling does sound a lot more fun :rotfl:

Maybe you should call your MW and see what she says?

I've got a feeling we're gonna have some more announcements soon :D

Ohh how exciting Bigbird fingers crossed it is the start for you x

Good Luck & Labour vibes to all the bold ladies.

Sammy sorry to hear you have picked up another cold HUGS

So I am just on the wait until wednesday when I should see the consultant to get an answer on the c section I'd better get an answer this time or some butt will be kicked :o:p

We went to see Ardal O'Hanlon last night Very funny :D

Looks like we are in for a baby boom again :D
If you can think it........it will happen
  • Morning all!
Hugs to Dusty and good luck to the bold ladies!

Just had a check-up with the midwife - everything is fine. Apparently I have something called "hard stomach/tummy" (sorry, this was in Dutch so I don't know what the English is???).

Also got a form for the bloods - it says it's to check for Hb+MCV (iron I think??) and Rhesus antibodies.

After my MC in early 2009, they gave me an injection as I have Rhesus negative blood and said it was for the next pregnancy (this one). But I think I have to have another one in a few weeks (regardless of the outcome of the blood tests).
I don't quite understand it all - it was explained to me - but in Dutch.... I understood all the words, but somehow the information doesn't stick (this is not quite entirely due to pregnancy brain!).....(maybe I'll have to read the (Dutch) leaflet.....)

Lilacpixie - I've also got that feeling that I thought I had loads of time to sort stuff out at home and now time is looking really short!! (Unfortunately OH doesn't have the same feeling, so I'll have to work on that!)

Oh Dusty, sorry to hear about your OH, I think the feeling numb is quite normal (I have had that with a load of stress with my sister, think it is our way of protecting ourselves and our babies). Hope he gets his act into gear and bl00dy well stops getting angry at you like that, you certainly don't deserve it. Typical bloke thing to do getting angry at you because he felt bad about something he was doing and far easier to fall out with you than to apologise and take responsibility.

Hugs Nic too, yay for being in for Christmas even if it is a bit scary with all the change. I know how you feel with all the packing up as we've had it to get everything out in order to get our decorating done, fingers crossed that will be finished by Christmas too, no where for our tree if we don't :)

Sammy, have you tried ginger tea, or ginger and honey? I find that better for colds than lemon and might be a change at least - literally put slices of root ginger in a mug and pour on hot water (or you can make it in a pot and strain).

Come on you due ladies, get a move on ;) Hope Fuzz did have her pumpkin yesterday!!

Got lots of work to do so tell me off if you see me lurking :)

    Em xx

    He's a he GFH :D

Can I just ask, does anyone in the 3rd trimester still get horrific and sudden bouts of tiredness?

I've been completely whumped this evening, I can hardly move! I wonder if when babies have sudden growth spurts they knock the poor mum for six??

Yep - been exhausted all weekend and it's not showing signs of abating today. Rubbish - I think I'll be like this till D Day now given the weather and the amount of sunlight I'm not getting :(

Anyone know what the 28 week bloods are for? Wondering if I can either not have them, or get em done at the hospital. I'm sure the MW will be fine doing it, I'd just rather someone who does is every day takes it. Preferably the woman who did it last time. She was great and even offered to sing to me if that'd help. :rotfl:Didn't bat an eyelid at my hysterics and inability to even roll my sleeve back down because I didn't want to touch my own arm :o

As others have said, it's for iron levels mainly - I'm actually looking forward to mine as I think I must be anaemic give how tired I am.

I have a cot bumper question - I bought one from Tesco that said it was for cots and cot beds, however it's a bit too long to tie around one side, but far to small to tie around the end and just have it covering one end on each side. How are you supposed to fix them on?!

Sorry to hear you have a cold Merfe my boss kindly gave me hers which I came down with whilst I was away and it really wiped me out. Now I just have a really horrible cough which hurts my ribs – I hope that doesn’t stick around too long!

Nic Good news about the house – I’m still hoping we will get to move before bubs comes. It will be nice that you should be settled before Christmas if all goes well :)

Dusty sorry to hear that things aren’t any better this morning. I hope you manage to get things resolved with your OH – don’t make any rash decisions as it’s easy to think these things in the heat of the moment.

Ooooh BB I hope this is the start of something for you :D

As for me – we have our 20 week scan tomorrow and I am starting to become really worried and anxious now. Even though during the past week I seem to be having more regular flutters which seem to be getting stronger and my belly seems to be getting bigger I still can’t help but worry that they are going to find something wrong :(

Can anyone give me any tips on how to stop myself stressing so much? I’ve got to get through today and I think I’ll be a nervous wreck by tomorrow at this rate :o

Morning everyone......come on you bold ladies, labour vibes coming your way.
I spent the weekend building huge wardrobes with my oh for the children (whilst they were away) absolutely exhausted us both. Been suffering with back pain so wanted to ask advice.
Its on the left side of my back and shoots past my bum and down my leg, i vaguely remember having this with my last pregnancy and think it may be sciatica, does this sound right to anyone? Is there any way to ease it. I was in agony last night and struggled to get up out of bed or find a comfy position. It has eased again this morning, but i suspect it may be back later.
