Woke up with a sore throat and a runny nose and have decided that I've had enough of work for today. I'm taking a half day and going to bed.

:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

  • Ok I went upstairs to finish the job I started yesterday and ended up falling asleep again and slept for 3 hours...I woke up with sore nipples and a sore side again....I think the alien must be nestling down in where my appendix is and that's what's hurting me....the radiographer on Wednesday suggested that and the fact that I am being kicked on the other side would back that up......so back to work on Monday to discuss 4 day weeks from Mid November until I finish up. Hopefully this will be the last time I am off sick with this pregnancy coz I feel like I have spent more time at home in bed than actually sitting at my desk in work doing some work lol.

Going up to the hospital in a little while to see my dad and see what havoc he has been wreaking on the poor nurses. Spoke to the hospital this morning and he had had a comfortable night but they will tell you that anyways :(

RIght have a couple of things to do so must get off here before FB takes over my afternoon lol....catch you all later xxxx

Oh no, i bought the Mothercare spin pram about a month ago (on offer with over £100 off) i was going to buy the car seat go with it as it was quite a cheap carseat at £79 but just looking now and the reveiws of the carseat are rubbish so now it looks like i will have to fork out for either a Britax or the maxi cosi cabrio fix as well as the adapters so it will fit onto the pram, well either that or use my daughters one from the Slvercross 3D, but then i won't be able to use it as a travel system . it's so annoying

Hi Ladys and bumps, not been on for a while but lurk every day. I am off on Mat Leave todayas my chest infection hasn't gone away and my bump has dropped quite significantly and everything has become very difficult. Work have been great and i can not quite believe that i am off for 7 months now!!!

I may not be on that much to begin with as we need to clear a virus off our home comp, but i will be thinking of you all and will pop back as soon as possible!

    Take care all of you

    Hi Ladies,

Keep meaning to come on and pass on any useful info i can think of, but i have been so engrossed in my lovely little princess, can't believe she is almost a week old, OH and kids go back to work / school / nursery on monday so i'm beginning to get a little worried that things are just going to be mental!

biggest tip... stock up on wipes, if you are going to use them buy them now we have loads but went through a pack in her first 2 days so its lucky we did have them, the way i went bout it was if they were on an offer that made them less than a £1 perpack then it was worth it
Maternity pads - i've used almost 3 packs, andthis was after a substantial blood loss when she was born
breast pads - have far too many of these ...1 pack wouldve done
Nappies - almost finished 2nd pack
hosp bag - needed more sleepsuits than i packed due to her being sick, i was in for 36 hrs, brought 4, OH had to go and buy a pack of 3
    bibs came in very handy
Dressing gown - spent MANY months searching shops for the perfect one... dark colour, lightweight, didnt use it at all and i was adamant i would, mainly as i thought i would be very self conscious in my pj's but they were a vest top and trousers from primark and i felt really comfy
If i can think of anything else i'll pop back on, hope this helps someone....

last tip if you are boiling dummies to sterilise them as you forgot to put one in the steriliser and mil drops the other one, remember they are in the pan and on....unlike oh who smoked out the house last night and almost set fire to the place...2 dummies now binned with pan :)
