Has anyone heard of Fenugreek? Apparently it's meant to increase your supply of breastmilk.

hello all, nice to see a new thread....I stopped visiting the other one because I couldn't keep up and never knew what was going on!

I'm now 28+6 and have yet to buy anything.....I have some clothes left over from DD and was given a load more by my husband's grandmother, but we haven't bought anything ourselves yet. I was thinkng of buying the my child versa travel system, but can't find any reviews for it. Has anyone bought/ever bought this travel system before? here's a link......

    cheers!

I was looking at that as well but couldn't find any reviews either!

Don dont be fooled by the pictures i have this one and it will seat me and my partner very comfortably and they are way deeper than any bath. I have it set up in my daughters room which isnt massive but its no box room either she had a double bed, double wardrobe and two chest of draws and to get the birth pool to fit so midwives could get around everyside we have had to empty everything out apart form one chest of draws. My aunty did labour in her bath tub but she had one of those enormous sunken round bath tub things so was way bigger than a standard bath mind you i wouldnt fancy having all the guk in my bath if you cant get out in time when baby decides he/she is coming :-)

Ok... I'm sure no-one will be able to help me BUT I'M SOOOOOO CONFUSED!!!!

I had phone call last Monday from someone from my doctors surgery (called W) saying as I'm pregnant they'd like to visit blah blah blah who I pressumed was the health visitor. She's coming tomorrow morning before I go to hospital.

    BUTTTTT

I just had a phone call from community health visiting team asking if they could visit on Weds???? Her name was L and was the assistant type person and would be visiting with the health visitor!!

So who the bloody hell are all these people????!!!:rotfl:

I'm guessing maybe W is from my docs and only works there whereas the other 2 are maybe from the sure start centre and work in the wider community??? I explained I may not even be home on Weds so they're phoning 1st.

And don't worry... I'm going to check all name badges!!;)

This one I found you can hire from £40 to £100 depending on how long you want it.... I don't have lots of space but can't decide whether to go for homebirth with pool option or not! :)

I only have five weeks left to decide what to do and I tend to "pop" early so what happens if I haven't got the pool etc! aaagh!

One as you say will probably be from the sure start centre we had one a couple of days after bubs was born apologising she hadnt been before he was born. They just tell you whats available and all the support you can get.

I dont know about the assistant ive never had that one, only person who ever came around the house before bubs was born was the midwife to do the house check for my home birth. I wouldnt think there is anything dodgy though as she is coming with the health visitor but as you say its always best to check their ID's :-)

I've never seen that one before Don looks good though, does their site mention how long it takes to deliver and set up. Mine was delivered next day and takes 30 minutes from taking out the bag to having it full of water.

If you think you may like to water birth i would say its better to have it there and not use it than go into labour and think i wish i had a pool.

How early do you tend to pop?

Hi, here is the website for anyone who wants to have a peek :)

    http://www.birthworks.co.uk/

I pop anything from 4 weeks to 1 week early lol! so I would likely have to pay £100 or more to hire so I would be as well to buy probably.

It takes about 45 mins altogether to fill I think :

edit - just found delivery options which might bump the price up a bit! its right along the very bottom of the webpage. they use a courier so it should arrive quick if you order one.

Can I try and join you ladies please? This thread doesn't look as scary as the last one, which was very long indeed. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow, but still have horrible MS, so still hanging round the less than 12 thread too.

I'm currently waiting for elusive 'bloom' that pregnant women are supposed to get. Maybe I'll feel a bit more pregnant when that happens??

I would go with buying one if thats the cost to hire you can get a smaller version of mine if your space is limited it just means OH cant get in too but there is still plenty of room for you to move about.

Have you spoken to your midwife as if you go 4wks early they may not let you stay at home i know around here you have to reach 37wks before they will agree to attend. I know in theory you can refuse and they have to attend but when your in labour i dont think i would want the hassel of an argument with them.

I would say if you are going to buy off Ebay then get it a good long while before you will need it as you can never guarentee when things will be delivered off there if you go direct to the site though they use a courier and its next day so you could probably leave it a little longer.

Ive just seen the new version of mine it has a cup holder and a stretchy pully handle thingy i want a new one now lol ;-)
