Its really easy. The only thing is it may only be two weeks at a time to begin with.
But...if its a career as opposed to a job, think carefully whether you are happy to cope with any possible consequences of this (e.g. going for a new job you really want and having to disclose this on your medical forms). Sorry to be boring.
I'm completely over having a career now - I just don't care about this job or about climbing any ladders. As long as we can pay the mortgage and bills and have a nice old-style life, I'm happy to work in Tesco
My boss is off next week which sounds like it would be more stressful but given I can't ask him for help cause he's useless it might actually be better here next week - so i'll give it till the end of next week and see how I get on I think. My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Hey Ladies,
I'm just dropping in with a quick panic to see whether some of you more experienced girls can tell me if I should be in full blown panic mode or just mildly concerned...
Sorry for potential TMI...
Last night OH and I DTD. This morning I noticed dark brown staining on my underwear and sheets. Went to toilet, all seemed normal so decided not to worry.
Went to toilet at work a couple of hours ago and my white underwear are brown...
I have felt Bash this morning (I think, now I'm worrying I'm imagining it or I'm getting too used to the feeling and my memory is tricking me...), but it definitely looks like dried blood and I've had nothing like this so far. I'm 26+3 today.
Should I be making a doctor's app this afternoon or just keeping an eye on it?0 -
Sure its nothing, but ring m/w for peace of mind. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

It might ease your stress to know you can go off if you like.
You will need to make a point about it not being pregnancy related if you don't want them to force the start of your maternity leave at 36 weeks. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

If it's brown it will be old blood so probably nothing to worry about - it could just be the baby pushing down and pushing out anything old that's gathered - or would your period be due around now? But yes, call the MW if you're worried.gratefulforhelp wrote: »It might ease your stress to know you can go off if you like.

Yeah I'm worried about that as well - although to be honest, without sounding vain, I think they want me here as long as possible. Might try and get the week after next off to have a break. Hi ladies, after lurking for a fair few weeks I thought I would make an appearance.
I am 16 + 1 today and my due date is 6th April 2011 - can I be added to the list please!
Dusty - my bump more or less appeared in front of my very eyes on Sunday and makes it feel much more real! I can also feel slight flutters quite low down as well which seems quite early.
My next scan is on the 16th November when we hope to find out what we are having.
Have a great day everyone.

Ash,
I had a little bleeding four times when i was about as far along as you. I was told to always contact the maternity admissions unit, but was also told that if it was just a little and you can feel movements, it's probably nothing to worry about. I'm nearly 37 weeks now and haven't had any bleeding for about 11 weeks and it turned out to be nothing to worry about.
But get it checked out anyway. (If nothing else you will probably get an extra scan to reassure you.)0 -
ASH I've had the odd and sometimes quite heavy bleeding after sexual contact with OH, it has never lasted more than a day so I've not worried about it and its fine. It's probably nothing but it does no harm to ring the midwife and get her advice xxx
RBG I hope your dad is ok, it is awful to have to wait and find out what is going on, hugs x
Princess I had my DD first and I may have used some of the least girly looking vest as they go under clothes and any neutral clothes but otherwise my boy had his own blue things. There was quite a bit of neutral stuff so he didn't need alot of boy bits and people still bought clothes gifts for him too. I wanted to keep the girly clothes incase we had another or I sold some of DDs on ebay and got boys with the proceeds.0 -
Eleven more days of work for me (after today). I've passed over most of my work, so a bit bored and looking forward to being off. I'm spending way too much time on the internet.
On the bright side, I have ten nieces & nephews and have Christmas presents bought online for 7 of them, so no fighting through the shops in december with a new baby.
Hope you're doing OK Emsy and labour vibes for those who need them.0 -

Welcome Lilo
the bump arrival is amazing isn't it? I'm 16+6 today and honestly it has come from nowhere. I have celebrated by buyinh 3 maternity dresses from ASOS and 2 from Topshop in the past 24 hours.
We are almost bump buddies. i'm also bump buddies with Ema but she copies me too much :rotfl:
Get on ASOS jojo, there is loads on there. Also Topshop sale started today, a couple of nice mat bits been reduced. £4 for postage though :eek:0
