Do you have an iphone or ipod touch? I downloaded a great app, all the questions on it are exactly the same as the theory test questions... I just did loads and loads of practise tests...
And there's a link somewhere on mse for the hazard perception test practise thingies... I was really worried about the hazard perception part, but it ended up being a lot better than I was expecting...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Afternoon ladies...I see we are all chatty today (just spent about 15 minutes getting up to date, lol) I have been sleeping all morning and only woke when hubby phoned me at about 12ish lol......feel like I could sleep if I went back to bed again. Anyone else feeling so very very tired. Can't understand it and the only thing I can put it down to is my body saying you will sleep so that I can try and repair. I dunno..I'm waffling coz I am still half asleep I think lol
Happy Birthday for yesterday 2girls
Good luck for your theory test next week Duemarch I have to sit mine as well even though I really have no interest in driving (have had my bike up until now but putting a car seat on the back of the bike could turn out to be a bit of a balancing act hehe)The pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Thanks Dusty - and glad all is well in your household nowSo I'm not being totally irresponsible by not getting a monitor? I just can't see when we would use one right now. Our house isn't big and we're not ones for staying up late (in bed by 10pm - I'm sure that'll be earlier when baby is born).
No most definitely not!! Lets face it they make plenty of noise when they really want you to hear them - and you will! and TBH I think sometimes a monitor will cause more stress - if they are just being restless and a bit squeaky it can set you off thinking they need you - when they don't always! (terrible mother me :rotfl:)
I never bought a new mattress between DD's, but have no cot even this time around and am borrowing one from a friend so thats the real reason I HAVE to buy one! I really have not bought that much this time at all, second hand pram, borrowing a cot, so only buying a mattress and planning a cot top changer (£25 from Kiddicare) in preparation for maybe having a section - but thats it! :money: HIP grant will cover - yee haw!

Early days but first draft of my birth plan below. Have I missed anything major?
- I would like to give birth at the community midwife led unit in as relaxed an environment as reasonably possible.
- I would like to be as mobile as possible throughout and free to change positions.
- My husband will be my birth partner, although I am happy to be left in the care of a midwife or other family members if he needs a break at anytime.
- I am happy for students to be present however I want to be consulted at the time prior to students carrying out any procedures.
- Baby’s heartbeat can be monitored regularly with a hand held Doppler. I would like to avoid continuous monitoring.
- Vaginal examinations should be kept to a minimum.
- I would like to have a birth pool available for pain relief during labour, however would like to decide at the time whether or not to actually give birth in the pool.
- I would like gas and air to be available.
- I would like to avoid any opiate pain relief and therefore do not want to be offered Pethidine etc. If I request it then I would like to try a half dose first.
- I would like to avoid an episiotomy however this can be done at the discretion of the midwife if required.
- I would like the baby put straight on to my tummy for skin to skin contact. If I am unable to do this then I would like the baby to go to DH for skin to skin.
- DH does not wish to cut the umbilical cord.
- I would like to try breastfeeding asap after the birth and would like help with this.
- I would like the baby to be given vit K.
- I would like the injection to help with delivery of the placenta.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
DH has a circulatory disease (Buerger’s disease) which particularly affects the mobility/feeling in his legs and feet. Kneeling for long periods will not be possible.
If hospital transfer is required then things are not going to plan and I would like the midwife/consultant to take the best course of action to deliver the baby safely – forceps, ventouse, c-sec etc. DH does not need to be present for any invasive medical procedures or indeed the birth itself if he doesn’t want to.0 -

I haven't thought about mine so I might take some hints of your plan if that's ok oxclairexoThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Hi Claire - I cannot comment on birth plans as that is sssooooo far away from me yet (what do you mean it isn't?
) that I am not thinking about it yet. Looks fairly comprehensive to me.
Rockinbikergirl - sorry to hear you are feeling pants.Resting will do you no harm so while you are off deffo make the most of it and rest all you can.
Are things better with your OH now too?
I have to say this week has been my worse so far. This horrible pain in my right hand side is still present, I've constant nausea and the tiredness is overwhelming. I've started taking the Sanatogen Mother-to-be vits about a week ago and since then I've felt rotten, do you think the two could be linked?0 -
Krystaltips and Due March 11 - I'm also learning to drive! Passed the theory test a few weeks ago and I've got a mock test on Oct 27th. Over here (Holland) if you do ok in the parking/turning bit in the mock, you don't have to do it in the real thing.
Maybe I'll also be doing it in Dec!
(Although I'm quite short and have to sit with the seat quite forward, so I don't know how much bump can fit behind the wheel!)0
