Hi All
Just popping on to say Olivia Ann was born on the 6/10/10 at 7:11pm weighing 8lb 13oz - she is perfect.
I am unlikely to be able to post a birth story as things were very complicated especially following the birth and im having huge issues re-living it. But my beautiful princess is here and we are home now with daddy and doing well. :j
I will catch up when i can, hope all is going well for everyone else.Enjoy your little princess and gets lots of mummy cuddles :A
Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Congrats Gems - sorry to hear you had a traumatic delivery. I hope you and family are well x
CrazyTink - sending loads of labour vibes your way. Hope bubs makes an appearance before the sweep.
Tinks - sorry about the painDid they have a date in mind for the C-Section? Could they do that earlier? Gosh, you're really having a time of it. (((hugs)))
Some lovely names coming - I have my absolute fave if we have a boy, but the couple of peeps that I've old have poo pooed it - so I'm not telling anyone else! Was it Giz who likes the name Madeleine? I have loved that name for years - so it is def high on my list of girls names
I had a fab time at my first boot sale yesterday! Sold loads of my toot and made over £100 profit for the baby fund. And I picked up a couple of hand knitted cardis for 50p - ahhhhhhhhNow, just need to finish listing some more stuff on Ebay - sooooo boring!!

Thanks Honey x
just to add, i'm really glad they refused a section now as had dd at 2.38am and was home by 4pm, crutches lasted a few more days and then i was able to chuck them away. Think it helped not having an epi either as was able to control what they were doing with my legs.
They let me have gas and air for examinations which helped whilst they were putting the pessary in and breaking my waters, think it increased my pain threshold from 17cm knee opening to about 24cm.

Congrats Gem, sorry to hear the birth wasn't straight forward0

And anyone interested in Cupping for SPD here is a picture of what they did to my back lol. I didnt have fire cupping, just vacuum cupping where they suck air out of the top of the cups using a valve and a widget lol.

Was just lurking and saw this post
I have always wanted to have the cupping done but have never really wooked into it.
Did it hurt at all? And how did you feel afterwards?
Also, did you bruise alot from the cups?0 -
Hi all,

Dehydration is also a possibility- juice and water give me indigestion, milk makes me sick and I've never liked fizzy drinks. My budget only stretches to so much appletiser (the happy medium)- ergo, probably not drinking enough.
Without wanting to rejoice in your dehydration, can I just say 'YAY. Someone else who's struggling to drink'
I can't do milk at all - doesn't even reach my stomach. I can't drink very much to be honest unless it's with some food. Any drink on an empty stomach leads to sickness, so I very much suspect that I'm somewhat dehydrated too.If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -

To be honest I was quite surprised it didnt hurt very much and I have a low pain threshold lol. I felt better afterwards despite being a sceptic, however I did bruise (not as bad as a love bite lol). But because I didnt have fire cupping I was allowed to use arnica, if you do have fire cupping there is nothing you can apply. I had it done on friday and almost all trace of bruising has gone now. I am going back this friday for my next session!
BTW re dehydration have you tried upping consumption of cucumber, lettuce and watermelon? Just a thought.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
