Got myself a physio appointment on Friday for my hands again, fingers crossed they can suggest something else, I can't go on like this. Was unable to remove my gloves at work today as I couldn't get hold of them:( I can't write anything an trying to hit the right keys when typing is difficult

    Sorry for the rant

I'm interested in hypnobirthing. Which CD did you get? Can you let me know what you think?

I got a set of 3 by Karen E Wells, they were £15 on ebay
1 has general relaxation and natural pain relief options using self hypnosis
    2 has pre-childbirth
3 is for the onset of labour

I'll let you know how I get on with them once I get peace from the hounds!:rotfl:

hi guys can anyone tell me where i can find more info about stretch and sweep? im thinking more of the DIY version, im sure some previous members had discussed getting their OH to do it but cant remember who/ where to look, and am considering it ourselves! thanks all

OH did this for me with DD, brave man :D I got my midwife friend to text me the instructions and so was reading them out to OH whilst he was down there lmao :rotfl:

Sorry cant remember the exact instructions and to be honest I dont think it can be done unless you are professionally trained cos you have no idea what you are feeling or supposed to be feeling.

Sorry that didnt help much did it :o

I got pg first month after stopping pill x 2 and both DDs are fine and well.

It's just natural to worry about something!

Do you have twins already or is that this time??? (sorry if I'm slow it's been a while since I've "seen" you.)

Thats interesting. Mine was really flapping that mine hadn't been done and was so adamant that I go back in 2 weeks to discuss them.
Is this your first though? I had booking bloods done about 2 years ago with DD2 and I wasn't going to have half of the vials taken again so they're probably not too bothered about it... I know I'm not...

Mee too in Kingscross with some woman called Ruth.

    Sweep instructions
Basically 2 fingers in with lube, as high as he can go, feel out for a round bump, it will have a dimple indent in middle. The size of the dimple in the middle that he can put two fingers on will tell you how ready you are.

If he cant even reach cervix bump then its too high ( i doubt that will be your case as you are nearly due)

Once he has two fingers in the dimple bit if he can fit them in ( thats 2cm dilated if he can) he needs to keep his fingers in the dimple and then use them to stretch by moving each finger away from the other so fingers together to fingers apart posistion and do it all the way round the cervix in a circular motion. He will probably feel what feels like a bit of string running round the edge of this little circle, that the bit your aiming for, just get him to stretch it out as much as he can without hurting you.

do it for a couple of minutes if you can bear it and rinse and repeat every day. He will probably be able to tell you how dilated you are and if its changing each day too. Just make sure hands are very clean and you are relaxed. Remember if it hurts abit he is doing it right but you shouldnt be in too much pain, thats not the point of it.

had scan earlier and all is well. baby size is normal although on the bigger side of normal. Blood pressure seemed wrong when they took it. Am normally low but it was 87/47. this seemed really low even for me although no one commented. Its definately a girl which i got them to check as i hadnt been convinced at the last scan. Also had some bleeding earlier but it stopped as soon as it started and was no pain so not too paniced by it. Consultant said to go in to be checked if it happens again.

Look at me waffling on x

At my 25 week appointment with the midwife my blood pressure was 90/50 and she said it was fine, fine I said its not fine that would be why I get so dizzy, but she really was not bothered about it, they are really only concerned about high blood pressure. Hope you don't get anymore bleeds xx

Woke up full of beans at 5am and now I'm ready to go back to bed just as I need to sort the kids out for school, once they have finished raiding the fruit bowl that is.
