I'll PM you all the gory details and how the hospital was.
Had a 'dry birth' which went well with no complications. I would definatly recommend the RLT as within 4 pushes, she was out. Fantastic!:j Comping Newbie :j

Hi tinks
I had an emergency c with DS due to SPD not letting them examine me properly, so ended up pushing when not fully dilated, which was awful.
When they actually did the c though, it was like something out of Casualty, suddenly there were lots of people flooding in to do this and that, but they were all lovely and reassuring and talked me through what was going on.
The section was actually really interesting (!) and I'm glad I had one in the end - although, you are very painful later on and they make you walk to the loo about 12 hours later which makes you feel like you are going to explode!
But once you have done that its fine. You are obviously a bit tender and its difficult to lift things, but it wasn't as bad as I had feared - and of course, there was no SPD to contend with either, so bonus!!
Next time, I am going to try for a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarian), but depends if my SPD gets bad. If it does, I'm not going to risk another emergency C, I'll go Elective.
Hope that helps!

Congratulations Red Rose - piccies please
Welcome to Balijay and sunny_sunshine :j
Tinks - Sorry I have no knowledge at all of CS but I hope it goes well whatever you decide - seems like a scary choice either way!!
I had my 16 week MW appt today and she seemed nice. But I was in a bit of a grump as she was running late plus I'd just had a barney with DH about wardrobes of all things:mad:. Anyway, turns out there's 3 lots of bloods that I was supposed to have had done after my 12 week scan - but I didn't know. So now I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow to get them done and then see MW again at 18 weeks. On the positive side she is sending off for my 20 week scan and we got to listen to a lovely, strong heartbeat

Sammy, I didn't get my bloods done either... And they weren't mentioned at my 16 week appointment... Won't see anyone until the consultant at 22+4 now, if it gets mentioned I think I might just make them wait until the 28 week bloods now lol...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thats interesting. Mine was really flapping that mine hadn't been done and was so adamant that I go back in 2 weeks to discuss them.0 -
Got some hypnobirthing CD's off ebay, they arrived today, think I might have a listen just now after a particularly stressful day at work!0
