Hi again - sorry work has been a nightmare since I got in this morning, not had a chance to post.
Went to my midwife app to be told that I because my scan showed me to be 2 weeks behind what I thought than this appointment was pretty much a waste of time and tht I had to come back next week!!!! I wasnt happy coz she then said "you should have been told this at your booking in app, but obviousley the student midwife didnt know to tell you" It since turned out that there was a lot of things that this student midwife failed to tell me, so not happy and I have to go back next week, which means my boss will be peeved off with me again[/COLOR] Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -
Lilian - that's exactly how mine started. Pain at the back of my pelvis just to the side of my tail bone. eventually it made its way round to the front. The front is now worse than the back but at night (when I've been managing to sleep!) I'm stuck in one position and it hurts all the way round when I try and move. Have now been given a support belt (which is a bit uncomfortable when sitting down) and crutches which have helped when walking. Will keep my fingers crossed for you that maybe its a trapped nerve and will go away!
Thanks - do you think it's worth making a GP appointment now as I'm not due to see the midwife again now until 19th October, although I will be seeing the hospital midwife on 14th September. Can my GP actually do anything? My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Ooooo... before I go!!
As we have so many new ladies joing us (and for the oldies too:p) I highly recommend hypnobirthing... although I haven't used it for birth yet obviously:rotfl:
I know xmas didn't have chance to use it either BUT when I was having the ECV I put some of the techniques learnt into use.
I was given a drug to chill out my womb but I had a bad reaction and my heartbeat went crazy:o I then tried to relax to get that pulse down which did work a little!! During the actual procedure I did try the breathing learnt on the natal hypnotherapy CD to help with the pain and tried to get to a "chilled out place" and I personally think it helped me with the pain:D
Right must go!!BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Hi there - thanks for this, though can't find their page on fb. Please can you tell me what it's called?
TIA
Oooh what's this? Did I miss something?
Sharkey - I'm sorry your midwife appt didn't go so well. If it makes you feel any better I was supposed to have booked my 20 week scan at my 12 week scan, but nobody told me! Thankfully I mentioned it to midwife yesterday and she booked it for me there and then. But sometimes I think we're meant to be mind readers
Thanks fuzz for muslin squares link...is this a good price? OH works at Tesco so get 10% discount tooThis is the sort of thing I guess I could start buying now...just to satisfy my baby spending craving
I just took out some money for a car boot sale on Sunday. Our carboots all close over winter so I have very few weekends left to take advantage of any bargains before baby is born. Most don't reopen until Easter.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

For that amount of muslins in the shops here are usually around £20:eek:
But having said that if a top&tail square is the same thing then mothercare are selling a pack of 50 for £6.99 so I'm currently uhhming and ahhhing and awaiting clarification from someone in the know to see if it is the same thing or not;)LINKY

Lilian - depends on your GP i suppose - I luckily have a sympatheitc one. Mine got me to describe my symptoms and then put in a referral to the physiotherapist for me that day and I had an apptmt in 2 weeks. I know that by the time I got the appointment for the Physio I was much worse than I had been and was very grateful for anyone to take a look! I was told there wasn't much could be done as they won't take any chances with baby but that I could go back any time for advice or any other support they could give. and that it was important for the midwife at delivery to know about it.
If it has got worse or you notice niggly pains in the hips or at the front (mine progressed to the hips and then the front) then i would definately ask. Asking does no harm. I don't like to think about how sore I would have been if I had waited any longer. Gp told me that the pain the back was the first symptom (even if I didn't realise it!) and thanks to all the talk on here about SPD and PGP I went and asked about it.0 -
Hi all, had a really busy morning so my treat to myself was to catch up at lunchtime!
Smartie – hope you’re ok and DS’s arm is healing well. Is it not the same hosp where you have to go?
I had a lovely PM from delain giving me her mob number, I’ve text her mine and she will let me know when the baby is born so I can let you all know.
Leopardlady wrote: »Morning ladies,
I am just a little upset as yesterday i was sick for the first time since being pregnant. Now don't worry i realise that i have been very lucky as i am now 26wks 6 days, but yesterday was also the first time in my life i have been sick in public! It happened as i got off the bus from work, in the middle of the bus station! (yuk!)
Oh well, i feel better today and have driven to work as i don't seem to get motion sick when driving, but appear to be getting more and more motion sick the further along the pg i get!?? Oh well.
Back to work and lurking
I lurk at work and tend to write replies on word then copy and paste in

Big labour vibes KK, what a cheek of your sister - so glad (sorry) won't be having this, although have a feeling that during my induction there will be many texts/phonecalls/e-mails asking if he has arrived yet - no bog off!!
hopefully we’ll have time for a coffee before you go in.
