    Hi All

You have been very busy posting over the past couple of days!! Its all been really interesting :) thanks!!

Sammy - I have used re-usable nappied for my DS (now 2) since he was about 2 months old. Before that he was much too small as he was prem. Loved Easy Peasy nappies (you can adjust them so they are tiny at first and get bigger), or tots bots. There are basically a limited number of designs of nappy, then lots of manufacturers!!! You can get all-in-ones (which include the nappy and outer) or get them seaparately - which I have done as they dry quicker :D

You can choose birth to potty ones (like the adjustable easy peasy nappies) or ones that are sized (like tots bots).

If I were you, I would check out freecycle or your local NCT sale - I am a bit of a nappy tart now and will try any of them to see what they are like. I got lots from freecyle and actually came really good friends with the lady who gave them to me!!

Hope that helps a bit with the nappy minefield out there :rotfl:

    Welcome Nic :D

So after seeing the MW I am booked in for a home visit in 2 weeks then at 35 weeks I am booked in for a scan and to be my consultant to see about have a Sunroof due to the pelvis action as my physio thinks I will do more damage to myself by having a normal birth
Also I have gone from measuring 3 weeks more to now 2 weeks under :o now at 31 weeks I measure less than 29 weeks. I had myself noticed that bump has shrunk as my clothing is a lot less snugg :o

Good luck Tink - if it helps at all, I had SPD in my last pregnancy (is this what you have??) and was on crutches from 20 weeks, but it all disappeared once DS was born - it was a miracle cure! Just had to deal with the lack of sleep, reflux, nappies etc etc :rotfl:

Oh yes, should have said - tried normal birth, but ended up with emergency c after 9 hours of pushing (yes, I know....I had a trainee midwife who had no idea!)

    Good morning all

Peanut is moving around a lot this morning - it's actually making me feel a bit travel sick! Is that normal?! Maybe I should eat something. Hmm.

  • Morning ladies.

Just a super-quickie..we are off to order our buggy, car seat and cot at Mothercare this morning...I am so excited!:j

baby MV has started prodding me at around 3.30am in the mornings, still I'm glad to feel him move :):D

Had 25 week appt yesterday, and apart from the less than friendly MW, all is well. Got my MAT certificate (after a bit of a battle with said MW), and have posted off my form for the HiP grant.:D

Hoping that lands in my account soon!:)

  • Morning all.....currently trying to find my 'get up & go' but I think it got up & went without me :(
Woke up at 6am this morning after the numerous amounts of pee visits from when I went to bed at 11pm, think in all I've managed 3 hours sleep and I hate it! Feel really woozy and to make me more miserable I have quite bad period type pains all round lower stomach and back..this is what kept me awake last night..meh, enough of the self-pity:oThe house won't clean itself(tis trulu mingin!) and maybe exercise will do me some good? :S

I picked a rough date out of the air at my first doctors visit so he said 26th of April. So I'm going with that until my scan.

Thanks TD Yes SPD is what I am suffering with. This is what I am afraid of that I will end up with emergency section so I figure safer and far less stressful and go elective and do myself less damage and stress. :o

My Physio said that the way the front of my pelvis is eg the left side has gone behind the right that with a epie for painrelief I will not feel the pelvic pain and could do a whole heap of damage to myself. :o

MW said that I just have to be straight with the consultant on the 27th Oct and hope that they listen to ME :o:p
If you can think it........it will happen
  • Hi ladies.

Fuzz - I too feel like that, both tired from very little sleep to no get up and go! But I have managed to get some house work done, just taking a quick breather whilst ds snoozes! Thanks for comment on bump. I'm so much bigger this time round, its quite frightening.

I hope all you other ladies are ok too.

Question for mummies already, My parents have asked us to go away with them next year to greece, we haven't been out of the country since having ds, been to cornwall for a week last year. We are looking at going in mid june as thats when dh has his leave, what I'm asking is, have you done with a little ones, ds will be 3 and baby will be roughly 5months old, I'm thinking if I'm still bf it wont be as hard if not, sterilising bottles etc, also parents will be a great help with either child, thats why I'm willing to go, dh not so sure purely because we haven't spent a huge amout of time with them over the years for various long winded reasons. Also not sure whether to go for just a week or the 2weeks, dh says 1 as we haven't been away with parents before, I think wll in for a penny in for a pound, if we've gone to all that effort to get there might as well stay put. Any thoughts welcome!

Right washing mhine to load again, before the dreaded rain comes again! Oh and food before I fall over.
