Rach - congrats, photos are gorgeous
Gems81 - all the best for tomorrow
Tink - hope it all goes well with the boss
Congrats and welcome to the newbies.
Well I'm off into hospital tomorrow morning to be induced (unless someone decides otherwise tonight - I've just had curry, pineapple & RLT as my 'last meal' to see if I can persuade them :rotfl:), so whilst I may be on here lurking first thing tomorrow, the next time I reply I'll WILL be talking about the new arrival rather than moaning about it being late.
Labour vibes to all that need them in the meantime.

So went to see the Doc this evening and she has signed me off until my due date :eek::eek:
QUESTION - Anyone know how it works with Mat Leave & being sick??? Is it right that my mat leave will automatically when I have 4 weeks before my due date???
So am I correct to think that I will now be on sick leave for 4 weeks then on Mat Leave from 1st Nov?????
Any help/advice would be fab as I am going to need to face my boss with this tomorrow which I am dreading
This is correct honey - at 36 weeks they can "force" you onto mat pay / leave and it will be sick pay / leave up until that point.
In fact its the 4 weeks prior to the Sunday before your due date (does that make sense?)

tink - DO NOT worry about your boss - in fact, you dont even have to go in - let them know you are now signed off and forward your sick note - the last thing that you need is to be worrying about them!!
rach - he's beautiful, glad you are home safe and sound
erm, everyone else - appropriate vibes

Hi all, not sure I am gonna be able to catch up for a while, but congrats to all those that have given birth and congrats to all the newbies.
Am sure someone may well have told you all, but Luke was born on 05/09 weighing 8 lb. He's not been very well, so only just brought him home. He's doing well now though.0 -

Rach congrats on the little man, glad it is all going well x
hassle good to hear from you, glad little one is now home xx
I was told by customers I shouldn't be at work last night and no one believes there is only one in there when I tell them how long I've got left now, I know I'm huge but I still have 3 weeks at work and even then I think my maternity is starting early.0 -
