JMF - cant imagine how you must be feeling!!! I hope things have been moving for you!! All these new arrivals and people Queue jumping:D

Im due tomorrow and resigned myself to the fact that bubs is comfy where it is and is waiting for assistance:( think i have tried all the possible eviction plans.... except eating a whole pineapple - not sure i can cope with the heartburn of that one!!!

Loving all the cute lil baby bumps - mine is stupidly big and hubby is calling me Mr Greedy from the Mr men!! Love the nursery pictures too!! :)
    :heart:Baby No.1 due 27/9/10:heart:
  • Just popping in to see if there's any more babies arriving - I'm sending loads of labour vibes to those that are waiting.

Baby Evie is adorable but doesn't like sleeping at night - she woke up at 9.30pm last night and didn't go to sleep until 4.30am . Its a bit stressful at the moment but wouldn't change it for the world.
Evie's been ff since we got home from the hospital but I worked myself up and started feeling very guilty so I've been trying to reintroduce breast feeding. I feel in a bit of a muddle with it all at the moment.

Will have a proper read back later when the eldest 2 are in bed.

Good to hear baby Evie is doing well, i love the name evie but hubbys cousin is Eve and our sirname begins with an E so we decided to take it off our list. Keep going with the Breast feeding im sure it will sort itself out!! Im so desperate for my mummy cuddles now:)

Cheers Gems, I was 1-2cms dilated when the mw did the sweep and have been cramping on/off every since so hoping it will move things on. Only just stopped bleeding from it too, which was very bizarre after not having a period all year!

JMF get up and get walking/waddling. you need to keep babies head on the cervix to help things along even with the stabbing in foof pains it causes.

LilacPixie - thanks for the advice, went for a walk round a farmer's market today and have been so tired ended up asleep for 3 hrs this afternoon! Got a treadmill here so shall start doing half-hr walking every so often to see if that encourages anything.

Feeling better about it all today, I think now I know they'll be here by the end of the week one way or another has made it easier. (I'm the type of person who is more comfy having an end-date or target to things, the whole not knowing I really struggle with!) OH is now off aswell and starts his paternity on Weds when I go into hospital, so at least he can keep me company.

    Hope everyone is ok xxx

I'm secretly hoping baby won't want to play with my eeyores...then I can keep the tags on :o

    :D
I put loads of gorgeous toys in DD's nursery, Bagpuss's, A singing Andy Pandy, a huge mini mouse, serveral Hello Kittys and Miffys and loads of others, at just over 2 she has just started her mission of removing all the tags and covering them with sticky fingers  it's killing me

  • Morning ladies..TMI question coming up...has sanyone found things a little...erm..'dry' down there when trying to BD?
Happened to us yesterday... I thought it was only after the baby arrived but DH said it happened last time too... We did have (from the 99p shop!) a tin of durex play massage mousse which also doubles as a lube, was slightly comedic at the time though... :o

Forgot to make an appointment with my Dr for my 21 week check. Is it important? Does it matter if I just miss it out as I have a 24 week MW anyway?

    Thanks
I saw the midwife at 16w, got a scan and consultant at 22w and then midwife at 25w... I don't see the Dr at all through pregnancy, they leave it to the midwife...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I was thinking of getting this for my mum for when she has the baby. Has anyone any opinions on it? There is also a code (you have to add something to make it over £50) for £10 off TDX-RTHK.

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-1680.aspx

TD-AKKR Code gives you 500 clubcard points so I've opted for that instead. :p

OH and I haven't even tried to dtd since I got my bfp. To be honest I'm not that bothered as when we did the last time I was pregnant I thought it felt weird. OH keeps hinting about us giving things a try but am a bit worried about it all now - my boobs are stupidly sore atm and the last thing I want is someone fondling them!

    Welcone anm :)

I'm with you. I've been spotting on and off through all of the 7 weeks so if we DTD and got even more, I'd be fretting too much. Might wait til 12 week scan :)

    morning everyone x

Giz the nursery looks lovely, I've a friend who before she had a baby the spare room was her disney room, it was truely insane, there was more disney in it than in a disney store, she too didn't like the idea of the little one wanting to play with the disney toys. I think all that is left now are a few well loved tiggers and tons of dvds, everything else is in the loft, car boot saled or ebayed. It was an impressive collection though, yours seems alot more sane.

Labour vibes for gems and jmf and anyone else who needs them x

Work was not too bad yesterday, they still weren't expecting me back till tonight but I was there already and managed to get some coursework signed off, should get this module completed this week hopefully.

I asked OH to get the baby things out the loft soon so I could sort it out, he said can't I do it whilst your in the hospital, erm no I want it all sorted before then. As if I could leave it to him to sort.
  • Morning all,

Hope you don't mind me coming out form lurkdom to have a whinge (also feeling a bit teary - gotta love those hormones!)

First of all I was actually really happy on Saturday as it was my birthday, was lying on the sofa and sure I felt a little flutter and have felt it a few more times ever since! (19+5 today)

Then yesterday evening when I got home from work had a sudden really horrible pain in my leg. Have had varicose veins for years (hereditary), but they've never given me much trouble (apart from looking hideous!).
Trying to stand up when I woke up this morning was excruciating. I've bandaged the vein up to keep it supported from the outside and I can just about walk - luckily have managed to get an appt at the GP in an hours time.

But of course now imagination+hormones are working overtime, wondering about blood clots, if the pain will get better and I'll be able to get off my ar$@ and get on with things.....

Sorry the for the whinge first thing! Hope everyone else is having a better day!
