Hello all, hope everyone is well and best wishes for those needing to see midwives/doctors/hospitals today - hope it all goes smoothly.

I had a rubbish night, was awake two hours from 4am to 6am with stomach pains :( That was after finding ds1 awake at midnight at the top of the stairs too, he was awake again at 2am and then ds2 decided he was awake at 6am also. All this inbetween trips to the toilet as well. and now I am being so grumpy with the kids too cos am so tired and OH is at work as well. :(

Got another "part" of my vertabudet order today - all that packaging for a pair of socks seems such a waste, they should have sent it all together when all in stock! I just hope they don't send a catalogue with each part as it gets in stock otherwise I will have about four of them!

still, its my first girly things I have bought and the socks are very cute :D just waiting on sleepsuits/vests now.

  • Don what type of stomach pains are you having? do u think they are braxton hicks? just asking because this past week ive been awake with what i think are braxton hicks or sometimes really bad period type cramps! when the cramps start its not a pain that comes and goes its constant. doc thinks its just stretching(secretly i hope its the start of something) plus im not sure i can stretch anymore lol!
  • . on the plus side ive saved loads of money im sure if i was having a girl i would have went mad with buying baby outfits as all the little girls stuff is sooo much cuter than the boys :rotfl: and is it just me or is there more selection of girls outfits??

There do seem to be more but I find it all VERY girly - I'm glad I'm having a boy as that much pink and lilac would drive me mad! Boys clothes seem cooler - I love the logo t-shirts you can get, they're much more fun than the girly "Daddy's little princess" ones and stuff :D

Mind you, had I been having a girl I'd have probably said the reverse ;) x

    morning all,

can anyone tell me what channels the programmes about babies and birth are on? we have sky. found something on home and health but it's american!

I watch home and health - there are some british programmes too - I think Portland babies is on at the mo.

It's my due date tomorrow and I am convinced baby is going to be late :(. I am already sick of everyone asking if theres any sign yet. I am beng very anti-social this week, don't want to talk to anyone lol. Labour vibes needed please :p.

Hope those with tests/appts today get on ok.

I have definitely been getting braxton hicks pains through the night and they have been enough to wake me but they never get stronger or worse so I know was not the real thing. But I did also have period like cramps which stayed quite constant last night too but again, they stopped after a couple of hours - its horrible though... I am pretty sure I can't stretch anymore either lol! My belly button looks horrid! I am 38+3 today so not long to go and wouldn't mind if baby decided to show up earlier but it would mess up hubby's plans for time off work :p he is hoping baby stays put until my DBD so he can have three weeks off work altogether. Of course darling, I will hold the baby in until then!

Labour vibes for you ethelsmum :)

  • Labour vibes ethelsmum and to anyone else who wants them.

I had a pants night sleep, oh is away for a week working in France, so despite having the bed to myself i woke up every couple of hours and then at 4 i just couldn't get back to sleep!
On a positive note though, my yummy mummy changing bag arrived yesterday, oh said i could treat myself so i orderd a reduced one and used a discount code too, so got it for almost half rrp.
Also got an email to say that bizziebaby have allocated a product for me to trial, its my 1st one, so have no idea what to expect or what it is yet, but i'm quite excited....right better get ready for work now :-(
