My daughter is 25 weeks pregnant and is huge.....it is her 4th don't know if that makes a difference. She is getting fed up of people asking when the baby is due....thinking it is sometime soon and cannot believe it is not due until Christmas week !
Hope you mummies to be don't mind me lurking on here but like to throw myself into things, including enjoying her pregnancy and the birth of my third grandson. I pass on any hints and tips to her which I find on here.0 -

I dont want to go in there all guns blazing refusing to go along with them as I'm not sure that would get me any better care, have you experienced vbac without continous monitoring?
ETA: Also I dont fully have my dh's support/fairer to say he doesn't understand my need to not be monitored. So I'm trying not to throw my toys out yet as I do want his support as I want him as my birthing partner and he is supportive otherwise, he just has bad memories from ds birth.
its totally up to you hun its weird that they say that 'have to do it' but a lot of maternity departments like to throw that phrase around. i was told i 'could not' have a home birth or water birth as its a vbac. so i said, well actually i do know the rules lol. the midwife was like 'oh.. right. well... fine.' lol!
with constant monitoring i think someone else said there is a lot more chance of interventions - forceps, ventouse and emergency c section.
all i can say is do as much research and decide what feels the best option for you. it's your birth they cannot tell you what to do / not do etc xxxMisc debts - £5,000 | Student loan - £9,000 | Mortgage - £180,000

Or could the dia-woo-woo be a 'special poo'?????
I wouldn't have thought being overdue runs in families...my sisters 2 both came a litle early while all 3 of my mums kids were late:D1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

i was hoping it was a special poo, but no twinges not even a single braxton hick! may drink another few cups but if it gives me the trots again its definately time to stop!
was just wondering about being overdue as my mum was with all four of us and my nan was with twins! so im half expecting to be now.
Any news from courgette anyone i hope she is ok.0 -
I haven't had a c section but have been told I am going against medical advice if I do have a home birth. I think they just like to say these things so they can protect themselves and say they have followed procedure etc. They like to insist on following procedure and telling you "xyz". It's even written in my notes that home birth is against medical advice. But the midwife said herself that there is no history in my pregnancies why I shouldn't have a home birth, just that she/hospital/medical advice does not recommend it.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Back from the birth prep class, it was really good, we did half an hour of yogic relaxation at the end and OH fell asleep
Just bought the Argos furniture set - cot bed with underbed storage, chest of drawers and the wardrobe, plus a mattress and a Winnie bouncer - £381 including delivery which I'm really pleased with. Should get about £5.75 cashback through Quidco as well.
So, I've been to birth prep and I have my cot bed. So why am I still only 20 weeks?!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

lillian is the birth prep class done by NHS or is it somewhere private you went?
rach i forgot to ask, did u buy a tens then? do your hosptial not have any? im shocked at the differences between what some hospitals supply and some dont. i mean if its all NHS surely they should all provide the same services? confused.0
