According to FB shes not a happy camper - drugs not working, wants to go home and she's regretting letting them talk her into the induction
I hope she doesnt mind me passing that on!

Hey Smartie, I didn't ignore your post when I typed my essay.......you must have posted whilst I was typing my post! Enjoy your mummy cuddles and rest as much as you can, you need to.
Congratulations, I love the name Daisy, it was my great nan's name but DH not keen so its of our list!
Sorry you had a bad time. In time maybe you may want somewhere to put it all down together so dont feel you can't write your birth story, I felt like that for a very long time, but now I can put it all down in a way that explains the details without the scariness of the moment. I had help with dealing with my issues so always feel you can ask for help later on if you need to, there are some great professionals out there who do a fantastic job.0 -

Chazsucks: I tried to push for that but midwife basically explained that the reason for monitoring is that if cs scar ruptures the cord can go through the rupture and then the contraction will press on the cord, stopping oxygen getting baby, and that basically no midwife will help you labour without it as they can be sued if the above did happen, and they wouldn't be willing to put their career on the line. It has been made clear to me from the start that its not optional.0

Sorry I've not had chance to read back so don't know who to congratulate etc so I shall have a read back in a mo;)
I've also not had chance to get my photos on to laptop so you'll have to wait for a pic of..... DAISY!!! As you all know we had probs with picking a name and funnily enough Daisy was on the NO-NO list until we looked at her and both thought yes!:rotfl:

twoflower, they can't do anything to you without your permission. If you want to get off the bed and walk around you are completely within your rights to... If you wanted to parade down the high street doing the macarena, they'd probably frown on it... But they can't stop you...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... @Chakani - hope you don't mind me quoting you here from the disposable vs washable thread. But I didn't want to take it too much off topic. I wanted to ask you a few more questions...
What did you get for £175?
Also you say you use value washing powder. I use this now, have been for years now. But have bought non-bio for the baby as everyone has told me to do so. Can babies use bio powder then, or just when they get older?
Right, going to look up napisan now.
I got these (not purple, cream, but this exact deal, which they do quite often) in size 2
http://www.teamlollipop.co.uk/shop/half-price-special-offer-micro-nappy-set-2225-0.html
DS was a big baby and went straight into them. I chose them because we didn't have a drier and they dry very quickly. They do need to be changed more often than a bamboo one, but are as good as the cotton ones I have. They dry far quicker than the cotton (Popolini) ones that came from Freecycle. The wraps are rubbish and I replaced them with
http://www.olivers-baby-care.co.uk/mother-ease-air-flow-nappy-wrap.html?utm_source=Google-Base&utm_medium=Web&utm_campaign=Gbase
I also have some Coolababy all in ones that came from Freecycle, but I don't find them as good as the nappy-and-wrap ones, and wouldn't buy them, although they are useful for days out.
Other things I spent money on was a nappy bucket with a well-fitting lid, and a couple of nappy nets - used like a bin-bag in the nappy bucket, so you can just pull the whole lot out without having to handle the nappies one by one, and just bung the whole lot in the machine. Those were the one thing that made the biggest difference. I use fleece liners that I made, I find them better than disposable ones, and they help keep DSs bottom dry.
WRT washing powder, I bought a box of non bio and used that at first, but then reverted to my normal cheapie powder, and DS was fine. I will probably just use bio with this one unless there is a problem - but I know some people do react to it, so I guess it depends on the baby.
Sorry you asked now??0 -
Krystaltips/chazsucks - I didn't know I had a choice, when I made it quite clear I did not want to be monitored the whole time I was just told, well you don't have a choice its the policy and thats what we have to adhere to. I dont want to go in there all guns blazing refusing to go along with them as I'm not sure that would get me any better care, have you experienced vbac without continous monitoring?
ETA: Also I dont fully have my dh's support/fairer to say he doesn't understand my need to not be monitored. So I'm trying not to throw my toys out yet as I do want his support as I want him as my birthing partner and he is supportive otherwise, he just has bad memories from ds birth.0
