MS12 - Not sure really, mw I saw after my scan the other day was surprised I hadn't been referred to Dr because of my history of hip problems, and with the SPD on top now she thought best to see. Esp as they think the baby is likely to be large! But I am really not sure what I want. Part of me would prefer a planned section as I'm so scared of something going wrong etc, but on the other hand it's a lot of intervention and major surgery and I know now always straightforward.

  • I'll be having a C/Section. There is something up with me that means that my cervix won't expand as much as it needs to. The farthest I got last time was 3cm. That was after 72 hours of pretty heavy pain so after going through this twice before i've decided I don't care what the docs say. I'll have a C Section and go with what I know. I think I stressed myself out last time worrying about what sort of delivery I was going to go for and couldn't prepare. I desperately wanted VBAC but it just wasn't going to happen.

I'm not going to allow myself to feel the failure or the disappointment this time. I'm booking straight in for C Section. :)

  • My mw said that as long as there is at least a year between births VBAC is fine. However it will usually mean a hospital delivery so they can keep an eye on everything. I dont want a csection this time as DD is very active, cuddly and loves being thrown about, and I dont think I could cope with her and a section and a newborn. lol

    TMI question alert! :o

For ladies with experience of it, when your cervical plug came away, was it a green/yellow colour? I have had a small amount of that colour on a pantliner and just curious if it could be the plug coming away very slowly?? Third pregnancy but never had any sign in previous two of the plug coming away....

    Thanks and sorry! :o:)

No experience of a plug coming away but I do get that colour discharge every now and again - now I'm worried!

  • Giz, people recommend non bio for newborns because their skin can be sensitive... But there are that many chemicals they come in to contact with day to day that I don't suppose biological powder will make much difference... As long as they don't have eczema or similar...

I don't use washing powder on my nappies though, I wash them on intensive with lavender or tea tree oil...
