Could you not just phone up the water board and complain to them?

I think the problem was you didnt explain this clearly in your first post, many people dont read any further before they comment :) When I read your first post I imagined van man had his van and trailer parked on his own drive and that you and the neighbours objected to the sight of a commercial vehicle. Then it developed that van man has two cars on his own drive and so chooses to park his van and trailer on the road and hence blocks the entrance of the elderly guy the other side. Had you said that in the first place I think people would have understood the crux.

I understand that, but surely threads develop and more info comes to light as questions are asked and raised that the OP (me in this case!) might not think to mention! Just makes some of the posters look like plonkers, especially when they ask questions that have already been asked and answered previously!

I always read the whole thread before I make a comment, or you could be just wasting time or repeating what somebody else has asked! :)

I would never do this, I would never want to get him in trouble at work! I'm not sure about my neighbours though! :D

How would van man feel if he got up in the morning to find all the tyres on his van let down?
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

I can see where the "Rebel" comes from:rotfl:

I'm sure I read the van belongs to a Utility company....

If Like me... He'd be far from Heartbroken..... He'd Go back in flick the Kettle on and wait for the Tyre company to turn up:D.......

Would,nt bother me as i have neighbours here with caravans ,Who by the way are not allowed to keep them there either but does,nt put me up or down :)
  • Hate work vans parked up in residential places at night. We used to have an Iceland home delivery van parked at the end of the street every night right half on the pavement on the corner blocking the view onto the main road.

After an email to head office, it stopped parking there at night. Never seen it since.

I can sympathize with this, we have a delivery van and a mini bus on the street adjacent to ours. It is a real pain because you can't see who is coming around the corner and it makes it hard to turn.
If the fire brigade ever have to come up our street they will have trouble fitting (hopefully they would just smash through!)
