he is going to have to tread carefully if he wants to 'improve' their diet...it is going to be seen as criticism of their mum and the choices she makes for them - even if they KNOW her choices aren't good ones!

    Baby steps with the unspoiling.

There's a really good thread which is tips for a new mum, the OP is making a little book for her friend's baby shower.

Maybe we should do "tips for a new step parent"

Lots of ironing done and lots to do still...

    Hi All
Just popping in to update the list - haven't had time to catch up on the thread, there's just too much going on here. Not least DD, who is having a funny five minutes after eating some of those healthier crisps - there's obviously something in them that isn't quite as 'healthy' as expected! Needless to say she won't be having them again...

Anyway, the house is pretty clean now...here's the list. If its deleted, its defeated:

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three
    Extras
Tuesday - Sitting Room and Hallway
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three
Check those smoke alarms! This will be done this afternoon
    Extras
Wednesday ~ Bathroom, Study and Stairs!

    Level Three
Clear and wipe the desk. do relevant filing/shredding etc Later this evening...will only take a few minutes.

Have a couple of errands to run in town, the car to hoover out and I've got a zip to finish putting into my dress. By around 6pm I'll be finished, I think (hope!).

I have spent the entire week sorting, packing and generally cleaning the house so that when my sister arrives to house-sit she won't have anything to remark upon ;). It'll give her nothing to talk about, though, poor thing!

Anyway, I'm off on my jollies, see you when I get back...
    Take care

That's a VERY good idea... if I CBA to do any work this afternoon, I might just go and put in a plea for help. Trouble is, I've got you lot... not sure I want to brave the rest of the forum!
