Mercer's - I owe a fair amount to Barclaycard so I set up a payment plan with them, couldn't have been easier. No nasty comments from people who think they're better than me or anything.
The only problem I have is that I messed up with them and started a new plan but they keep taking the amount on the old plan as well:mad:
It's a bit of a !!!!!! as it's my money and it takes them 2 days to get it back, but I'd rather deal with Mercer's than any other DCA.0 -
Good Thread, Mike - Shame there has already been an attempt to 'troll'. I also read that 'comment' on your previous thread and decided not to 'rise to the bait'.
I can't think of ANY good experiences with DCA's.
BCW - totally inept - chasing for 'debt' that had already been paid.
RMA - phone bills must have cost more than alleged debt.
One woman told me 'not to be clever with her' when I said that I did not acknowledge any debt.
Mackenzie Hall - sent letter while debt was in dispute - Now started sending those incomprehensible voice texts:rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Whilst, other than one letter which should not have been sent as debt was in dispute, I haven't yet felt the full wrath of Mackenzie & Hall, a.k.a J2, I had a quick peep on the consumeraction site and there they were described as the 'fag-ends of the Debt Collection Industry'.

Moorcroft are evil!
They harrassed me about 6 weeks after my Trust Deed was signed and were extremely rude on the phone, when I told them I had a protected trust deed they ranted that they had no knowledge of it and they wanted immediate payment or they would be pursuing Legal action if it wasnt paid, I gave tehm all the relevent information about the trust deed but thy were not interested in the slightest. I contacted my trustee and they sent them all the relevent information, heard from them twice more on the phone and had 3 letters before they finally quit annoying me.
Spoke to differnent people on the phone at each phone call, every single one was extremely rude.DFW Nerd no. 177

Have to agree about moorcroft. A year after I set up a DMP they started harrassing me on the phone and with letters. Told them I was on DMP that they had aacepted the terms of and they repeatedly told me that I was lying in a not very nice manner, had me in tears quite a lot. even though I had it in writing from them and from payplan. They even tried chasing me when I had paid everything off!!0 -

previous poster mentioned they haev a NEXT account, so did i until they passed it over to those DCA sharks MOORCROFT!!!!!!!! i have heard all the usual guff take out a loan, borrow form friends and family etc but when they said that the CCCS took my money and gained % from it for their own personnal gain! i reminded them how i was recording this telephone call on my answering machine and bizarrly the line went dead

Tootsie Roll when you sit up high on your soap box has it occurred to you not everyone was able to help their financial situation spirralling out of control and to say it only gets passed over when you fail to make constant payments (not quoted) its c r @ p most of these lenders think nothing of throwing money at you in times of desperation, think nothing of slamming on charges and sit back to count their profit whilst us hard working people try to survive in this ever crippling tax society!, not your problem i hear you yawn fine i can take that but i dont judge you that you get up every morning put on your collection agency hat! read from your lets screw these vunerable !!!!!!s into the ground manual and put the fear of god into all walks of people who are not as savvy and thick skinned as some of us are becoming,
is it my fault that my fatehr died from cancer last october screwing up my head and my life is it my fault i begged my credit company to cancel my card as i had started to gamble from all the stress and depression is it my fault that on repeated occasions i rang them to ask my account be frozen ...................... then i suppose its my fault that they put my limit up from 4000 to 10000 during this time knowing full well i was sick and weak and unable to repay due to my gambling pproblem? oh you didnt relise no of course not nor did you care but what im saying is some people of here have lost everything and are doimg the besty they can to get by and to get themselves back how dare you come on this board and attack a member who has been helpfull and supportive in fact how dare you come on here adn try to reduce this fantastic site adn turn it into a collection agency fansite!

- Rockwell - pestering, persistant, manipulative, threatening, horrid people. PS made worse by the fact hardly anyone else deals with them or has even heard of them!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0
