11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

    4FreeUK
    ABCWins
    Clash Club/Clash media
    Club La Costa
    Consumer Lifestyles

    GetMeATicket
    GetYourBillsPaid
    GreatUKsurveys
    Guide2Win
    InstantPrizeDraw
    Just-Rewards
    Lingscars
MyChild (pester with phone calls quite badly, but Compers have won with them - suggest do not give a phone number!) New owners since 2009, who do not ring out now. Will be removed from here totally once the word is out!
    MyConsumer
    MyFamilyUK
    MyOffers
NoizeMakesEnemies (Care - your profile with name, address, phone number & email appear to be on show with no way to make it private!!)
Nuts (comps.nuts.co.uk - comps are now run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd.)
    OffersClick
    Opinioniser
Optimax (phone calls, letters & emails!)
    PenicuUK.com (linked to Weatherseal below)
PickMeUpMagazine (comps.PickMeUpMagazine.co.uk - Care: the magazine comps seem to be unaffected, but any comps which direct to this site are run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd)
Premier Christian Radio (lots of postal junk mail even when you opt out of future contact)

The remaining word left over is EVERY :) Give me a minute, and I will type out the answers :)

I haven't got a scanner (well I have, but it's under my bed and has more cobwebs on it than the Haunted House set :).
Typed out reading from left to right, top to bottom (across answers first then down answers). Hope you can understand
    that:

TALON, ARRAY,YEARS, REVEL, INDIE, OPTED, MELON, ERRED, PREEN, GUPPY, PHASE, ODDLY, MOUNT, ROUSE, HEIST,
    RAISE, SEEDY; RIDES (across)
    LEVEL, NYLON, PANTS, ASIDE, RUDER, YIELD, EARTH, OVERS, ROUND, EXPEL, PARTS, AMUSE, EMERY, CUMIN, OTHER, DRIED;
    YETIS (down)

    * oops sorry I had ASIDE at first (wrong, can't read my own crossings out) the answer is definitely EVERY
Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.

When you look at the terms and conditions of a competition, usually there is a 'no purchase necessary' route (where a purchase is usually necessary to enter). This is something that I have always seen and I was wondering, is this something that is put onto the terms and conditions at the discretion of the promoter or is it something they have to include by law?

I have come across a competition on ebuyer.com for a holiday and you have to buy a TV to enter () and I looked for a NPN entry route but didn't find one :(

any info would be helpful :D

The No Purchase route used to be a requirement throughout the UK but the law changed a few years ago and now it's only required in Northern Ireland.
