No we have actually been told to reduce the stickies as it is;)

Anyway it's been posted before that the search isn't working on the main boards so people will see it:p

hmm, we was told ages ago you had to reduce the stickies but new one was added not long ago ;)

I wasn't going to commentas was happy to let the regs decide about the changes as they know the boards best but...... as even they don't agree I decided to chip in my tupenceworth

I appreciate 100% Glads hard work - The BG's on tis forum are fab & it's good that they have extra help - lets not forget the guys that have been working hard for ages as well in the background

but........ I just don't get it any more - can we not just look at a thread & enter the comps?

I do freebies, grabbits etc& the have current & GO - we have regs ,dailies, monthlies, advents, weeklies & probably a thread for long haired Irish Females or something that I am also missing............I understand the paid for ones text, postcard etc but surely everything else is a comp
  • There you are Fin, massive snowball coming your way, hope it splats you right on the nose! :snow_grin Grrrrrrrrr..... x
    Back on it!
  • Can you all click expired on this comp for me please, thanks! :D

I've changed the title to indicate it's expired, but it's not changed on the main page view (only when you open it up) so it might cause some confusion if that one's still on the main board too.

I've posted the new one as a separate thread!

(Still can't believe they changed the question just after I'd asked Glad to move it back to the main board from Game Over! Talk about timing! :rotfl:)

this isn't much help for people wanting to post a comp and checking to see if it's already been posted while the search isn't working
but it can help if you see a comp and think you've already entered it recently

click on your username, then statistics, then 'find all posts you have thanked'

this brings up recent threads/posts even when the search isn't working :)
I realise that compers thank a lot of posts but if you know you've done it recently it might help

I know that it takes a considerable amount of time for the site to be re-indexed and this usually happens over the space of a few day's but is there an E.T.A. for when the search will be fixed ?

is webby aware of the problem?

it would be nice to get some feedback for a change! ;)

Has anyone else won Cadbury goods from their Facebook page? I've won two now - once on Halloween and the other about a week or so ago.

Neither have arrived......the latter one I realise may be stuck someowhere...but the former, I even asked them on their page..and got a rude response back that if I'd bothered to read their messages it was coming. Mmm...never came though.

Sorry...just having a moan really....but wondered if anyone else had had this too?

I've sent a PM to Webby and the other members of the techie team asking them to take a look and pointing out the thread on the Site Feedback board.

Hopefully one of them will pick that up soon.

I need to ask and sorry if anyone takes offence but this goes mainly to the reg posters, quite a few comps which are advents are getting split across the board as single comps, people will dupe if they are entering from two places, If a comp has a new comp a day, new prize for the run up to xmas it's an advent and it makes life easier to collate all on a single thread.

If there is an issue please say otherwise i'm clueless to why xx

im guessing thats possibly partly down to the whole issue of whats a regular comp that should go in a single thread or be posted anew each day.....people who think single threads for daily new answer comps are a good idea will post as one thread, those who disagree will post as brand new post each day im guessing. makes it much harder for you to keep on top of collating the advent thread as well as for everyone using it to avoid duplicating :( which is the same issue as is had with the 3 regular threads in general.

it's been reported to the team but I don't know anymore than you :o

I know some people would like a sticky on the main board to let people know the search isn't working but I'm not sure that would help

people would probably still go ahead and post the comp if they couldn't find it

don't worry about pm'ing me with merges though, I've no other plans for the weekend :rotfl:
