    Hi!
Brilliant news that the littl'un has turned, although a shame he did it overnight! 3 weeks - goodness, where did the time go?! I had a midwife check today and mine seems to be pointing the right way, although that can all change with 8 wks to go! How's the pelvis?

And fantastic that you've sent off the final cheque. Can barely wait to say a huge congratulations when it's cleared and you're officially at your debt-free target. Yours is the first of all the diaries that I follow to reach that target - who's next I wonder?! Not me, that's for sure!

I'm trying to avoid the temptation to look at Additions. Do you need an account with them or can you just buy? I'd check on their website, but then I'd start shopping. Hoping you say the account, then I won't be so tempted!
  • Lots of bargains but I really need to stay off Grabbit now - I haven't any money left. Additions you can just pay there and then with a credit or debit card, or you can start an account. I used my debit card. A lot of the stuff is sold out there now anyway - but I notice lots of the stuff from there has appeared on ebay today!!

I'm glad baby turned too. At least I can "look forward" to a normal labour - though I'm not sure look forward is the right way to put it. And..scarily it's nearer two weeks than three - 16 days until my due date to be exact. I'm not ready yet!!

Been having huge mounts of Braxton hicks - my stomach muscles are actually aching from having so many. I'm hoping that they're having the effect of tightening my stomach - you know, like those electronic belts you can get that do lots of little tightenings and give you a super slim stomach?? I can but have my little delusions! Pelvis seemed ok but have done loads of housework today (viewers, not nesting!!) and back and pelvis both aching now!

Do you still think you will go past you due date? Prob not if you keep doing to much at home, they do tell you light exercise can help get you started, the way tou keep working you wont make your date! hopefully the braxton hics will give you a break for a while and your stomach will stop aching.

I deliberatly try not to go near the grabbit board, i dont think i would know when to stop. I would end up having far to many 'just in case' items in the house!

  • My due date by my intial dates is 30th Jan and by the scan at 9 weeks is 27th Jan so sometime around then. I am convinced that not only will I reach my due date I will go over it, not sure why but I think it will be into February. Can't have the baby yet anyway - I haven't packed my hospital bag and OH is working away several nights next week.

a friend of mine was told her son was due sometime last week, they changed it to sometime this week and she had it 12th Feb.

I don't think I would like to past my due date, don't you get set for that date then get bored once it passes lol

You might want to ask me that in a couple of weeks!! At the moment I'm quite philosophical about it all. I go on two pregnancy boards, one on here, where the people are fairly normal and one elsewhere where I read but don't generally post where the people are fairly obsessional - first about getting pregnant, then obsessively symptom spotting, then trying to induce labour. Some of the things they try are quite mad. I've never known anyone be pregnant and not have the baby eventually (apart from my Grandma who went 2 MONTHS!!! over with her final baby but there were very special circumstances for that!) so I'm happy to wait.

(Feel free to quote this post in three weeks time when I'm simlutaneously doing it with OH, nipple twiddling, eating mixed pineapple and curry, drinking special tea all while been driven fast over a long bumpy road!!)

It might be the same board i go on, i have been registered with them for ages, they advise some very odd things for when you are trying to get pregnant, most of it is sensible enough advise and then theres the slightly crazy ideas. As you said though, ask me in the future, i may be on a diet of baby carrots, green tea, and grapefruit juice, and taking cough syrup.

I did do the whole temperature thing for a while, which was a nightmare. I dont think anything could convince me to eat pinapple and curry though.

  • Not the greatest day in the world yesterday. OH had a road accident at work. Luckily no-one was hurt (though from the look on his face when he came home and told me I honestly thought he'd killed someone!) but his wagon was damaged, the load spilled and part of the motorway closed.

He said the policeman at the scene said he was recommending no further action so fingers crossed for that but won't find out for about 6 weeks (it was OH's fault but he says he can't think how it happened - my view? That's why they're called accidents - they're not done on purpose!!). Also I gather his boss isn't awfully impressed. :(

OH was very down all last night, not his usual self at all. Yet still he managed to sleep within 5 minutes of getting into bed, unlike myself who tossed and turned all night!

Midwife appointment today, just a routine one, so nothing exciting. Not much money saving to report other than still being quite good on not frittering away on the "little stuff", not bought any magazines or sweets yet and quite proud of myself.
