Are you all set if they decided Baby wants and early appearence? They attempted to induce me (they spent a week trying, but I was having none of it!) when they eventually sent Mum home, I decided to put in an appearence 4 hrs later. Apparently she arrived in hospital 30 mins before i was born!
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:

Lol, no not at all! In fact OH is at the opposite side of the country. I'm not really expecting an early birth though and with the two I already have I had loooonnnngggg labours so plenty time to get to hospital (although I realise they are all different!).

    That's ok then.

My cousin is having a girl at the end of April, although I think she's in for a tough time as she split from her husband a month after confirming it. She is currently playing the no access game. I'm sure that'll change once she's had no sleep for a week!

Well, when I say not buying chocolate, that doesn't mean not eating any. We still have 2 tins of Heroes, a box of celebrations, box of quality street, two bars of Thorntons, 3 boxes of mint chocs, box of maltesers, half a box of toblerone, box of special toffee, two selection boxes and a chocolate snowman. And two boxes of biscuits and a Christmas cake. Even I would be pushing it to need more then that!!

I'm so jealous - our snow here is rubbish! Woke this morning to about half an inch of the stuff, which by the time we'd got DS into his snow gear had just about disappeared. In fact, I've got a couple of pictures of him trying to play in it - will add them on my diary if I can get them uploaded.

So, I'd have gladly swopped with you this morning (especially if the swop included all that chocolate!).
  • Really must break my Boots addiction. Or addiction to looking on the Grabbit board which leads to the Boots addiction.

Went on there this morning and spent £62!
Though, in my defence I did buy two baby grobags that I wanted anyway and they are supposed to retail at £25-£30 each.

Also got a load of BOGOF baby wipes, bubble bath and shampoo. We have loads now but at BOGOF plus 200 extra advantage cards I couldn't resist. Also got some much needed and much used Rennies and a foot soak gift pack (half price and with the rennies gave an extra 200 AC points). Oh and 2 Sanctuary face cloth things that cost £3.78 (in total) but give £5 back in points. I love the Sanctuary stuff but will be more likely to use them in hampers for next year.

Ended up spending the £62 but have £2.17 tracked in Quidco and £11.40 in advantage card points.

And I paid from my current account which means I haven't much left in this month's budget but at least it won't be carried over to next month.
  • OH was a little star this morning. He worked this morning and came in laden witrh gifts, which was slightly odd, as apart from chocolate he's not one for random presents. Turns out they were from his works staff room. He is a lorry driver and often when loads have been refused etc they put the surplus stuff out for drivers to take. Usually it's stuff you wouldn't want anyway but today it was bath gift sets and I think he had about 5 adult sets and 3 children's sets. Will be very handy for birthday presents over the year.

I've tried to designate our (unused) savings accounts as proper savings accounts and we will be trying to add some money to them over the next few months (fingers crossed)

Here's how they stand at the moment

OH A+L Saver (To build up an account for car tax, insurances etc). It's an easy account to add to and access so the plan is to "siphon off" any pay over and above what we've budgeted to receive (OH's pay is up and down every week depending on hours worked, night's out etc). I added £20 to it when paid yesterday.
    Total Saved: £23.20

CAHOOT Account: Easy to deposit (I think! Hoping the transfer I arranged goes through!), not sure how to withdraw. To use as a Christmas account. Planning to put in any "Free" money from surveys and cashback.
    Total saved: £30.19

NSI ISA: Have had this years without putting much money in it. Just got a statement with current balance. Idea is to put £100 a month in it to start a holiday fund (we aren't going far this year but hope to next year) at least until my maternity pay drops drastically.
    Total saved: £30

My A+L Saver (To save any leftover pay I have over next couple of months before rate of pay drops drastically). If there is much in it when I return to work we will think about starting to save for car deposit for OH / overpayments on mortgage / furniture for new house if we ever get one!
    Total saved: £10

So, as you can see the savings aren't huge at the moment but my new challenge is to see what we can save instead of pay off debts! better keep off that bloomin' Boots site then!!
