Isn't it scary when we turn into our mothers!!
I get that look when I get the names of pop groups wrong. DD always tests me "who sings this then Mummy?". And then I realise I have become my mother :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. hi choc,
durham really didn't sound far away the other day but I waited, then succumbed to harry potter at tesco - had to buy loads of wine and bogof shampoo to qualify for £5 offer lol (but it WILL get used, honest)... kids were helping teach karate summer schools which meant i got 1st read - bonus! OH told on me - "kept finding book in strange places where she was pretending to do other stuff - kitchen sink, ironing board, pc, washing machine, 2 hours to change a bed..." but I was multitasking!
Why didn't your daughter get a prize btw? Seems a bit strange?
Good that your lad is betting his teeth sorted now rather than later - still a pain for him though.
Well done on meeting your target - you do so well with the DFW bit :T I need to do some switching round of cc stuff and then look at reducing something but just had to replace outgrown football boots, outgrown karate gis and a karate summer camp week to pay for (about £600 in all, gulp). Just had MOT done (car, not me) - passed at £200. I think that's everything for now.
Not sure about clearblue - if you can realistically get most of what you paid for it, I would probably sell it (with a reserve maybe) - no ebay expert though. Any idea where i can get rid of a wall full of videos, lol?!?
lol hypno, at the turning into our mothers comment - the thought has flashed unimpeded more than once through my head recently.Too scary and not athought to dwell on :eek:0 -

Even scarier, my Mum is turning into my Grandma, so I know what will happen to me a few years down the line!0 -

Yup, I've had that thought too on occasion. Is this something we can work to avoid, or are the genes just too powerful??Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Because she also won the same reading challenge last year and as I am a member of staff the management team felt it was unfair to the other children!

I wish! I feel a bit at stalemate at the moment, seem to be spending more than I need to.

Ouch! Just had MOT done (car, not me) I think I would fail an MOT if i had one done (Me, not the car!!)- passed at £200. I think that's everything for now.

Thinking I might sell it but maybe put the starting price quite high. The bottom of my wardrobe is full of stuff to list if I could just get off my lazy behind!
Videos, hmm, they don't seem to sell so well on ebay - think is the cost of postage - maybe a car boot?0 -

Genes, definitely genes. My DS hasn't seen his real(? - not sure this is the correct word as DH is his real dad and has been since he was 2!) dad since he was about 2 but at nearly 13 (next week!!) he is turning into the spitting image of him, his mannerisms, gestures, speech, everything - it is really quite scary!0 -

biological. good word - can easily get confused with washing powder, and you don't get more mundane and uninteresting than that!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I almost spluttered my tea over the monitor there. Reason being I seem to be rapidly expanding and I literally am bigger than my jeans at the moment - really need some stretchy fabric type trousers at the moment!!
Anyway, I am rather disgracefully still sitting here in my dressing gown, the house desperately needs tidying and you can guarantee people will turn up uninvited into the chaos today as it's my birthday and DH's family don't work so they always arrive when the house and myself are a mess (and I'm sure they go away sympathising with DH for the disgusting slattern that he married!)
Be back later!0
