I am feeling very fed up.....OH was put on a second medication, he started taking it on MOnday and has had to go to bed with nausea and dizzyness ever since. He played bowls this afternoon and was fine, comes home and an hour later he is back in bed.........it reminds me of how he was 2 years ago when he was having them everyday......I do not want to go back there thank you, it restricted our life so much.....
If there is no improvement I will have to try and contact the consultant and see what he has to say. I just feel that mentally and physically I cannpt go through all that again, the stress is constant, it has never gone away....when we go out I am constantly watching him wondering if he is suddenly going to start.......
Sorry, but I feel so depressed just now.....Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Evening everyone. Tea and sympathy to those having a bit of a rough time at the moment. And celebratory tea for those with things to celebrate!
I've just finished my dinner, corned beef hash. It's the first time I have tried making it and I just made up a very simple recipe myself, have already come up with a few tweaks (as usual! I am mad for tweaking, I even do it to professional chef's recipes that I've never made before). However...

Ooooh, cupofchai, could I have the recipe please? I normally make a pretty basic corned beef hash, but was planning to make it for a friend for tea tomorrow, so any ideas for improvements would be most welcome.:DNot Buying It 20150 -
No problem, but it is very very basic so yours might be better in the first place :rotfl:. All I did was chop up an onion pretty small and sling in it a pan on a medium heat. Cook until soft and turning golden. At that point add to the pan one can of baked beans(though I may make it two next time), and one can of corned beef that you've chopped up into whatever size bits you like. Based on previous corned beef cooking experience, small bits go further but too small and they'll break up into corned beef paste, I used about a cubic centimetre for this. Heat while stirring until the whole mixture is hot. I ate mine with mashed potato, a bit like a corned beef and bean cottage pie.
Probably not really that good for you as there will likely be an awful lot of salt in there, but I'm telling myself it also has two kinds of veg. I suppose it could be good spiced up with a dash of Worcestershire sauce as well.

Just nipping back in to send Csarina a {{{hug}}}, you sound like you need it just now between your messy lounge and OH's dizzies getting worse. Make sure you are taking care of yourself too though! Been to local community meeting tonight, DH watched littlies & I came home to find he'd put them to bed without being told - well done that man!
Off for an early bed - want to finish library book so I can take 'em all back tomorrow & get some new ones. Reading "The Stand", and it's hard going this time, so I must be tired! See you all tomorrow, hope you all have good nights, esp the poorlies.

Csarina....hugs, as someone else said, it may take a little while for the meds to 'settle'...take care of you!
Falady....the mower is a big ride on one, anyone with an old one would be trading it in I think....will see what repair costs might be before I do anything else.
Mad with the cats....Thunder just arrived in the window with a dead shrew in his mouth, followed closely by Sile...they hunt together so neither was pleased when I took it from them....brats, they are well enough fed without killing little shrews!
Night all, sleep well
