notjustlaura, it was DS who was promoted, not DH. He's only 24 so he's done really well. It's very funny to see him being so responsible and knowledgeable about his job, he'll always be my baby!
D &DD nice to see you back.0 -
Afternoon all.
Have semi-skimmed the thread, so please forgive me if I've missed anything.
JackieO have a super holiday
Bargainbird here's hoping the Peace Talks continue to go well.
Jackieg aww, I'm so glad litle Coco enjoyed herself. I've come to the conclusion that if DH''s turn into Mr Grumpy, the best thing is to withdraw bedroom recreation til they revert to normal!:Djellybaby21 wrote: »I am going into hospital for day services tomorrow for urodynamics. I am really nervous. Basically the one part of procedure involes having a catheter and a tube up your bum, then then fill the catheter with fluid. I find having catheters extremely painful (probably dur to whatever is wrong with me). Even though I am 26, I have asked if my Mum can come in with me to hold my hand.
Busy, busy, busy today - got Mr LW off to w*rk, fed Penny and let her in the garden for a bit, cleared up and S&S'd kitchen, took Penny out, did half hour WiiFit, did the membership paperwork that came in today's post (quite a lot of it, too), cleared emails and replied where needed, BM on for a loaf, let Penny outside again and had a game with her, still have to do today's Flylady tasks, walk Penny again (to post box in order to post aforementioned membership stuff), another half hour WiiFit if possible, feed Penny again, and do dinner.
All the above with a distinct lack of "spoons", I might add - had to take a couple of caffeine tablets to get me going.:(
Anyways - BM will be beeping in a mo, so I'd better post this and hie me to the kitchen!;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon All
Not long got back from shopping - phew it is really hard to do a week's shop for 4 on your own
DH is onl Hols next week and will have to take me down to get soap-powder, toilet rolls etc (all the things that are too bulky or heavy for me to carry basically)
We have to get a lot for DD's 21st Birthday party next week anyway.
Feel drained now - but everything has been put away and I even managed to get a few Christmas bits and a nice pair of lined curtains reduced from £30 to a fiver in wilkinsons :j they were reduced because they had no tie backs - they will do for DS's room
I also got a wooden toilet seat for £2
JackieO Have a lovely time and I really hope that the weather is kind for the next two weeks x
Pork Chops and wedges with sweetcorn for the boys and I have Chicken salad with strawberries and cream to follow
Just off to prepare it BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Colder here to-day but no rain but I have put out clothes to dry so hope there is no rain before they come in.
Must do something about dinner...hugs to all

Hello again. I have done nothing really since this morning
I need to get a grip of myself. My shopping will be delivered from Mr T shortly so need to see to that. I ran into the Coop this morning and got eggs and bread to see us through for brekkie and lunch, and made boiled eggs. They were off, the smell nearly knocked me out when I peeled them and broke them into the cup! So I am off egss again for a while
They are my favourite food too, but when I smell them it puts me off for ages. I will need to go down with the 2 which are left and get my money back.
Coco is home, and looks fat! Joanna has fed her well, and apparently she even let her sleep on her bed! :rotfl: normal rules will be restored this evening. :)She seems delighted to see the boys, and has barely left DS1's side.
Jackie O I hope you have a fab holiday and the weather is good enough to let the boys take full advantage of the ice cream money tinIf you haven't got any yet, sun cream is £5 a bottle just now in Asda, just in case!
Have a good evening everyone, hope its all gone well Falady, I won't ever believe them about sizes if I ever have another wee one, DS1 was expected to be 8lbs and DS2 15lbs. They weighed in at 11lb 4oz and 11lb 3oz!!

Evening all
I had a manic and emotional day at work. The team that I took over few weeks back (because my colleague is rather ill) are finishing this week, and at the end of each team they all put on a presentation. So this team had their presentation and did very well :j I was a very proud work mummy :rotfl:. They got me a lovely bunch of flowers and a card too to say thanks. My ill colleague came along and said a few words at the end and we were almost all in tears
, he has gone through the mill lately and it was lovely to see him, but he clearly wasn't feeling 100%.
OS wise - not much. Having leftovers for tea. DW went on this morning so need to unload it.
JackieO - have a fab holiday
Have a good evening all

Hiya folks,
Just waiting for tea to finish cooking,so have got a spare minute.DH has been working at home today and just wants to finish something off first.
He ran me up to the hospital this afternoon to see Aunty.I suppose she looks better than I thought, drips etc have gone, but she has awful bruising up her arms, don't know if this is connected with the blood clot in her leg and being on Warfarin. She didnt remember who I was as she has started with dementia, but I took some photos with me to talk about. She made my bridesmaids dresses almost 35 years ago,so there 's one of me and my dad(her late brother) and bridesmaids, which got the conversation going-hard work though. She told the man off who brought the drinks round because he didnt offer me one :eek:Anyway, said I'd pop up again.
Tea is chilli and rice.I made some blackcurrant/redcurrant puree to add to my morning yogurt earlier, gorgeous colour.I had porridge for breakfast so might have some with Greek yog for dessert.DS1 is going to France for a few days tomorrow so has been busy packing.
JackieO-have a lovely holiday with your family.
Falady-hope the midwife appt went well.
D&DD-nice to see you
Jellybaby-hope your appt is OK tomorrow.
Hugs to BB,and anyone else who would like one.
Teas ready, best go x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
hey there all!
sorry not posted for a while.
JackieO, have a lovely holiday! My dd went to the IoW earlier this year & loved it. She wants us all to go there so she can show us!
Lamewolf, you've been busy, take care of yourself x
Essex girl, yay on the job!
Falady, I was told DS2 would be small. He was 8lb 4oz. Huge compared to my other 2. I have sections so no idea what MW led is like, but it sounds lovely. I hope you get that.
Jellybaby, I hope your app't is ok.
Ummm, sorry to whoever I've forgotten.
I couldn't sleep last night. At 1am I was cleaning the kitchen & ironing.
DH is on his way back home from his trip. He's taking the older 2 children to stay with his mother for a week tomorrow evening! Just me & the baby for a week. Oh the older 2's bedrooms are going to be GUTTED while they're away!
Love & (((hugs))) to all in need

Hi again everyone,
Thanks you for all the kind wishes about my midwife appointment - i was very touched.:)
The appointment went well. I was back to my normal midwife (who was on leave last time) and the bump measurement was still big, but she didn't seem worried at all. She said that if the scan is normal on monday, and the consultants are being slow about transferring me back to midwife led care, then just to give her a ring and she will change it for me!:D
Baby cafe with my NCT friends was good, but I didn't have lunch with my other friend as she isn't too well. Spent most of the afternoon in bed napping, so just wondering what to have for tea now. Have been pretty unhealthy today, so should include some vegetables somewhere!
MrsMortonHarkett - well done on your cleaning spree - you fancy coming to do mine?!:p How do you feel about your OH going away for the week with your older children? How old is your baby? Are they at an age where they have a bit of a routine?
Rosyred - glad to hear that your aunty was better than expected. Her dementia must be distressing and hard to cope with. I used to work in a care home for people with dementia and it wasn't easy.
Flutterby - sounds like an eventful day at work. What a lvoely gesture to get you flowers and a card - your team must think a lot of you
JackieG - ugh, those eggs sound gross! I've never had a rotten one, but jsut the thought of the smell makes my tummy turn!
Your dog CoCo sounds lovelyWe have a greyhound, Meg, and she likes her home comforts too! Since I have been pregnant she has been sticking quite close to me. I don't know what she'll be like when the baby arrives - she'll either ignore her, or be protective. I'm not worried at all about aggresion or anything - she is the most placid dog I have ever seen! :rotfl:#
Meanmarie - is it worth asking for a mower on your local freecycle? People sometimes advertise them on our one.
Butterflybrain - well done on your bargains! :money:The curtains sound fab. I've also been thinking about preparing for xmas. I am an avon rep (doing my last campaign now, as baby is due in 4 weeks) and there are some great products / prices for reps, so i was thinking about getting some bits and pieces from the reps magazine for xmas presents before I finish. I can't see that i'll want to be trawling round the shops with a newborn!
Lamwolf - sounds like a busy day!! The wiifit sounds good - i've alsways fancied one, but don't really have the money, and not sure whether my motivation would be a bit lacking!
D&DD - thank you for your upate and news. I read your 'shop from home' thread from beginning to end a month or so ago, and was so inspired by everything you manage to do :A Have also snaffled some of the recpes, especially apple braid!
Cheapskate - I'm in calderdale. The maternity services are supposed to be really good compared to other areas, and we have a pretty new hospital, so I'm generally quite pleased with the care I've been getting - its just the last few weeks which have been a bit worrying.
JackieO - have a great holiday
Notjustlaura - sorry to hear your sad news and i hope you enjoyed your slobby day.
Jellybaby - hope your hospital appointment goes well tomorrow.
Snoozer - I like your midwife's comment abut your DS being 'dainty'
:rotfl:
Hester - thank you for the link to your blog, will have a look and hopefully get inspired for some easy craft projects.
Apologies to anyone i've not replied to - OH is chuntering about me helping to feed the cats and dog, so better go and help.
Take care,
Ali xxNot Buying It 20150
