    Suggest you try

    or

A hotel room for 3 for under £<100 at a weekend should be ok - the problem may be the parking - even at weekends parking rates in London are horrific!

    Good luck.

  • Try the following:

    https://www.travelodge.co.uk
    https://www.hotelopia.co.uk

good accomodation priced on room only (sleeps up to 4) with ensuite baths. Breakfast extra but standard accom so you know what you are getting and you can usually see the type of accom in your own area at the local hotel to you.

Also look out local Tesco offers with Clubcard as you can sometimes use their vouchers in certain chains, altho you must book first.
    Good luck

Don't forget The Science Museum and Natural History Museum which are both free to enter.

Not much help in the Money Saving Dept but The Rainforest Cafe in Piccadilly does serve excellent food and would be enjoyable for a seven year old as it is set in a forest with animatronic animals.
The Transport Museum in Covent Garden is also good for kids

Also worth trying to get cheap tickets for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from one of ticket Booths/Shops around Leicester Square.

Another fairly cheap trip is to get on the Docklands Light Railway from Bank down to Greenwich and a look at the Cutty Sark. Enjoy it.
  • When you get here buy a family travel card for the day as its the cheapest form of ticket for all the transport. Adults cost between £3.10 and £3.40 each and for a child its only 80p. using the tube may not be the most senic of ways to travel but will get you around quicker then the bus. Also many attractions offer discount for family card holders

on feb 3rd I am taking my wife to covent garden london for day & eve, we want to drive there.

where can I park from 11.30am-11pm thats secure, central and not too pricey please
If you dont ask for discount you don't get discount
  • Try the travelinn at Putney. Its right next to the tube station (district line) about 15 mins to the west end. Its also ideally situated for cheap eats and drinks in either Putney or Fulham (no west end prices) and best of all no congestion charge :)

    Go on the London Eye.

Unfortunately, the wheel is closed for annual maintenance from 6 January - 9 February inclusive. You can still walk along the South Bank and go right up to it though.
