Phone contract cancellation rights?

Three predictably didn't want to know. They still acknowledge all my problems are cause to claim it's not fit for purpose but they won't authorise the return and cancellation. Several hours on the phone to and from the same indian call centre staff and I'm about ready to commit a crime, if only I could find a single person to blame! Useless. Shockingly bad. DO NOT BUY 3 MOBILES people. I'm due a call back on Monday. I can't type my real thoughts but what they said in the tech support beggars belief. Will let you know if Mondays call comes...
Why? Because they tell you precisely what you can and can't do whereas the other networks just let you guess?0 -
You want to try canceling your contract: Did it in writing and all they did was ring my other half day and night from indian saying we need to speak to you about your cancelation. Then when they did despite claiming it was more than a sales call they tried to get her to sign a new deal, she just said i cant understand you speak english! LMaO0

I get 4 of 5 bars, but get less than 50k download speeds in a high coverage area. Is that not unacceptable? Problems with the app store from day 1 (now fixed they say), is that unacceptable? And content filtering not mentioned in the contract or terms, what's that if not unacceptable? And no English customer services and a call centre who can't help or give you a number got someone who can help? They are useless. A new word needs creating to describe their service!0

All networks filter content by default, if you are referring to the filtering of more adult related sites. You can easily get the filter removed though0

I never had any form of content restrictions on the Internet when I was on 3.0

Have you tried this with 3? They charge you a fiver a month for a start, that's easy, but not my kind of solution!!
Surely the £5 a month is for the data allowance. Which all networks charge for, though it might come as part of the tariff, so the cost would be hidden
Content blocking is different. You just need to prove you are over 18 and the content bar is lifted. Was very straight forward when i had it lifted with 30 -

Is that the networks or too many people using the internet at the same location. If you have a good signal you are unlikely to get moch joy. It could be the site you are using is slow, or too many people, it's only signal strenth they work on.IProblems with the app store from day 1 (now fixed they say), is that unacceptable? !
Now fixed, so thats not an issue. And content filtering not mentioned in the contract or terms, what's that if not unacceptable?
Vodafone also do content filtering, they don't know who the phone will be given to. Call three get it lifted by proving your an adult. Again non issueAnd no English customer services and a call centre who can't help or give you a number got someone who can help? They are useless. A new word needs creating to describe their service!
Competley irrelevent. If that was grounds for cancelling a contract there would be no contracts in force anywhere.
Three are the cheapest mobile company, they do that by driving costs down. Support is outsourced as part of that cost cutting.
If you wanted better support you should go to 02 who I understand only use UK based staff, but then again they charge more in tems of monthly costs. threes lowest plan is £30 a month / 24 months for 500 minutes and £99 for the phone. Same plan on 02 gets you 300 minutes and the Phone is £179. The extra £80 off the phone and the exrta minutes cost have to come from somewhere, and whilst you can argue o2 make more money a lot of the saving comes from cost cutting by outsourcing jsut like any other industry.0 -
I have to say Three's signal is spot on for my Iphone much much better than O2 ,Voda or Tmobile in my area and its a bonus to have a contact centre that has and is always been helpful admittedly you really have to listen to what there saying, but there always polite and curtious.:)0

If 3 want to play hardball and not let you cancel, then put phone in microwave oven for 4 seconds to fry it and return as faulty. Job done.0
