I use Mega Bus a lot in Scotland but that is because I can travel for free.
The last one I was on had an irritating squeak and I acually had to turn my hearing aid off because of it it was that bad0 -

Phew, that's ok then, as long as you know what you are letting yourself in for...
LET ME OUT OF HERE...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Megabus smells like wee on the Cheltenham to London route, I'd go national express if I had the option!!0

Mrs thescouselander used Megabus once to get from Bristol to london and back - she reckoned it was ok except for the fact the driver had to stop for a break half way adding 40 mins to the journey - that doesn't happen on National express. The fair was cheap enough though.0

I use them all the time and love them and even have set a up a Megabus fan club page on facebook:j0 -
Megabus are brilliant!!!!
Obviously depends on what coach they provide at the time but couple weeks back I, along with my 39 week pregnant missus travelled from Liverpool to London. 6.5 hrs - no problemo
Accepted, the comfort wears thin after few hours BUT you get uncomfortable sitting in the cinema after an hour! :rotfl:
Excellent prices, friendly and professional staff and money well spent.
Go ahead and book - just remember to note the log no. as it's your boarding no.
Safe journey,
Stephen

Avoid MegaBus.
They are very cheap on buying advance tickets but really, avoid them.
They smell, the seats are awful and very un-comfy.
You will often get a screaming baby behind you or someone who is smelly sat next to you on your half a foot bench seat.
Often run late
I would AVOID0 -

Im sorry but i dont agree with you on any of the above
They have brand new coaches now which dont smell and the seats are the same as National Express and a lot of Megabus coaches are the same as National express ones.
Young Babys travel on National express and also the trains and local buses so not just with Megabus and smelly people travel again on the Trains and National express and every coach i have used with Megabus has always been on time and a lot of the time run early.
So your views of Megabus i dont agree with sorry.0 -

Wow I was wondering what people meant about you and your terrible advice, I can see what they were talking about. The coaches are no different to any other, seats are the same size, just as much chance as a screaming child as on a train or plane.
For £6.50 you cant go wrong really...0 -

is £6.50 worth a cold and a screaming baby behind you that you cannot get away from as the mother can't control her children?
The seats are not the same as any other coach, so I have no ideal what coachs you have been on, but I have used MegaBus a number of times and everytime they have been awful.
The seats often have stains on and chewing gum stuck on them and you will often find the drivers are not very friendly at the best of times.
Awful service, if your saying my advice is wrong to avoid them then so must everyone else on this thread who has said avoid!
Please see here OP, for some reviews form others who have used the service which also state the same:
