He'll be told to sort himself out, or face the thermometer up the jacksie.

He'll only need to be told once...

Well, another shed-load of rain tonight and only half an hour more until (hopefully) the stream peaks and I can go to bed and sleep peacefully. I shall be so glad when we finally "get another flood" so my flood doors can be tested and I will know once and for all whether they work or not......it's the not-knowing that is the killer

Not sure whether to be flattered or worried...following a boozy confessional night last friday, appears my neighbours (or perhaps I should say my flooded-out "constituents") now count on me as an early flood alert warning..:o.....If my car is off the drive (ie parked at the top of it) ... apparently they all put themselves on flood alert :o..as they did at 2am one morning a couple of weeks ago when the sound of me moving my car off the drive woke them up and put them into "hyper-flood" mode

    Sheesh....the responsibility

    xxxx

PS...Yep - I moved my car off the drive at 6pm tonight. Wonder what the neighbours are doing now :rotfl:

Woops...sorry GJ.....opened another window and was on guinea pig forum replying to posts..

Stream has peaked...and not breached the bridge. Always at risk..but opefuly one day I will know the flood prevention stuff will actually work. Unfortunately despite all the flood prevention improvements I have done, house is now flood blighted...(ie cannot be sold/rented as future owners/tenants cannot get insurance...and I cannot remortgage as survyeor woud have to write value down to £0 which mortgage company would be a tad unhappy about)

    Que sera sera

Lovely to see you me old mate...how are things with you? How's the knee now?

I have to admit to feeling a bit of a fraud in view of the mammoth events you are having to deal with....yet here you are, posting encouraging and supportive words on my diary. You IS :A

Thank you so much.........but whisht woman...me and piggies should really kick ourselves up the bums and be more active on your own diary to support you.......(Well maybe not Bandit in view of his stinky willy problems :o)

You are doing brilliantly..I know you are still "frustratingly" fatigued...but let's be honest.... who wouldn't be after all your trials and tribs...

You have done brilliantly in dealing with all the sh*te ....I know some days it may drag you down and you may feel you;re not coping at all...BUT... lovely lady..rest assured you are doing brill...and you WILL get there

    Mahoosive hugs

That is the most heart breaking thing about the whole situation and really makes me angry on your behalf.

Good grief, Wol - I'd have said I keep up to date with what's going on ... but look what's been going on! And I agree with Taxi about the long term issue, its absolutely heartbreaking.
