hope the trip to the vets went well.0

Ooooh....introduced to a very nice totty vet today :drool: as my two regulars (Vulture and nice Spanish vet) are both off this weekend.
Hhhmmm....not quite such good news re Ginger - as it turns out he actually DOES have an ear infection.....the awful word "pus" was mentioned  (I have been a tad suspicious one was brewing since he developed head tilt a couple of months ago but last time he was examined his ears were pronounced clear).
So the infection is now hurting his ear and in his attempts to scratch he is also scratching his eye at the same time....which is looking pretty manky. He's clearly feeling very sorry for himself this evening and hates the ear and eye drops...(much of which ends up on his fur when he shakes his head and makes him look as though he's been rummaging in brylcream :rotfl:). Nevertheless we shall persevere with associated bribes for good behaviour and hope to get him back to his normal chipper self within the week. I'm not too worried about his eye as guineas often damage their eyes from hay pokes...(Ginger has been treated several times in the past and knows the drill) ..but an infection in the ear canal is a tad serious.
I am pleased to report that I feel "almost in control" of the tax return having finally found some paperwork I had put in a very safe place...and promptly forgotten where that was. Spent most of the day turning the house upside down
. So a big effort tomorrow now on the expenses/mileage records and it will be ready to hand in monday morning.:j...and yes Z I have also made the accounts right up to date etc etc so wil be "poised ready" to submit the next one in April
I have also decided that the only thing left to go wrong in the house now is the central heating......so took the opportunity to acquire a freegled PCB board for my boiler today worth £200....."just in case" :money::money:
Right .....off to med 4 guineas, give Muffin her nebuliser to help her breathing and lastly clean Bandit's willy .(.....again _pale_..)...with luck I chould get to bed just after 1am

Do you know i had to re read that all twice- just to make sure it really wasn't just the way my brain was reading it..:D Then i read Z's reply and thought..nope it isn't just me:D:o:rotfl::rotfl:
Well it seems that you have had a very mixed weekend again Wol- you must be exhausted with the nursing of your GP's..Hugs hun and stay strong. Hi Wol
Hope you and the littluns are doing okay. Sounds like you are still needing to be nursmaid, but hope none of it is too serious.
Are you keeping sane? It seems that every time i manage to pop in something else has gone wrong. Hope this is the year that everything starts going right for you.
Yay George..:j:j...how the devil are you? How;s the work going? are you still snowed in? Hope you are looking forward to this year and that good things will happen for you.
You are absolutely spot-on George........it's been one shocking thing after another.....relentlessly..... since the flood 3 and a half years ago. Clearly me and water (and certain builders) do not co-exist harmoniously:rotfl::rotfl:.
It's only now I'm "coming out of it" that I realise that for the last few months I;ve been having a complete "mini-breakdown funk repeat" of October 2007.....night sweats, no sleep, funny waking hours, more booze.....but at least I didn;t completely disassociate from the real world this time
Thankfully by the end of January all the "plainly evident" dodget and bodget carp will be out of the way...plus also some of the "proactive plumbing" measures will have been done to prevent any further "escapes of water". There's a few extra "Dodget remnants" needing fixing (actually more than a few but I have a list and will be getting Big Bro in soonest to just whizz through and "sort them"........oh, and a mouse population in the loft to [STRIKE]eradicate[/STRIKE] re-home.:o...and then I think I can breathe a sigh of relief.
I DO feel like Ive been trundling along in first gear these last few years......quite a change considering I always used to operate in 5th
So from February I am hoping I will be somewhat restored to a more normal "pre-flood" existence.... instead of lurching from one mad crisis to the next .....and I will also feel more confident about my house/security and to worry it;s in imminent danger of blowing up/catching fire/getting flooded/falling down....(ie it will NOT give me any more shocks :rotfl:)
Also, given the house is now valueless, my savings are spent rectifying the house to date and my work will dry up from April......it will then be time to draw a line under it all and start to build something new from scratch..:cool: I have spent quite a lot of time thinking about where to go/what to do now and have loads of ideas..;).....After all I shall only be celebrating the magic 50 this year.........so I reckon (courtesy of HM Gov raising the retirement age).......that's plenty of time to start again i'nnit?
So watch this space...once I (finally) get up to that second gear there'll be no stopping me...(.vroom vrrooooom....beep beep.....)
(That last bit's especially for you BOB :rotfl:)

Hi Wol,

He is such a soppy piggy he does actually lie on his back in your arms with one paw raised :rotfl::rotfl:....(edit ...but not when you;re cleaning him...he doesn;t like that despite all the nicotine bribes.....and keeps chewing his front paw in distress. ) Thankfully I didn;t have to "intervene" tonight (think it;s because I;ve also put him on antibiotics...they do seem to be working better than any "cotton bud and hibiscrub" routine) ....so tonight Bandit is fag-free :rotfl::rotfl:
( Now I;m starting to think I should try and get him sone Niquitine patches on the NHs for his addiction :rotfl::rotfl:)
