HI Wol
Sorry to have been MIA
OH MY GOD
Where do I start?
I hate it when things like this happen to good people. I really do. I am amazed that the cr*p with the insurers and ombudsman, solicitor etc is STILL going on. No wonder you were self medicating with alcohol. I am sure the stress must have been (and still is) totally appalling
And then to have the EA stuff on top of all that making your house worthless, they are really cruel.
You were sounding so upbeat and now this. Holy Cow that is so rotten for you. Both with Beechie and now the ceiling. That is so pants. Please please look after your self I wish I could swoop down and give you a massive hug. I have really regretted not making the effort to come visit you when I was back in the UK.
You have been such a great support to others, so make sure you lean on them too.
hugs mate
chev
ps my oil tank saga is still suspended in the either. Have not heard a dicky bird for 18 months so who knows.....I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I have to admit I have been a bit down today and have not done much except sorting out the insruance claim etc etc and lurked on here. No alcohol tonight, just lots of tea and piggie cuddles
Tomorrow I have to get 4 tyres put on the car - best price I can find i £650....and i need to do the preparation for the client meeting on thursday. I'm also gong to book Beechie in to the vets - but may need to pay extra to board him (£40 per day ) while the 6-9cm wound heals in view of all the disruption, dust and debris flying around the house at the moment.
Once this building inspector (I am not going to call him a survyeor unless I find out he is properly qualified) turns up on wednesday I should get a better idea of how [STRIKE]slow/cocked up/expensive/frustrating[/STRIKE] easy and customer friendly this latest insurance claim is going to be
Off to bed now, and hopefully will be back up and running tomorrow as have lots of stuff to do/organise this week. Thank goodness I have a separate loo and shower as it;s a tad dangerous in the bathroom atm

Well, you sound a bit better Wol - I hope this "building inspector" does know his stuff - the levels of incompetence you've had to deal with over the last few years have been horrendous, truly.
I was thinking of you the other day when I heard dripping as I went into the kitchen - dreading a leak, but it wasn't, rain was dripping onto the step outside, and it was so loud I could hear it indoors ..... almost felt guilty that it *wasn't* a problem, compared with what you've had to put up with.
I hope Beechie's okay too - boarding him to protect him from the building work sounds like a good idea, even if it is so expensive.....
Lots of hugs, sweetie.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Blimey, and i thought things were going to start getting better for you Wol.
Can't believe that all this is happeneing on top of the insurance company still playing silly beggars.
Hope you get through to the other end soon.
Sending a dodgy hug your way.:grouphug:
